From the author of Handcuffed to the Sheikh, eleven months in the Top 100 Romance Anthologies and #1 Romance Short Story, a hot new tale of desert romance...

What's a little seduction between friends?

Arya Mokri, the ultimate wallflower, has to stop dreaming of His Royal Highness, Sheikh Javad Shirin, or she's going to lose her mind. She's been crushing on him for months and it's time to move on. If he won't have her, she'll find someone who will...

A consummate diplomat, Sheikh Javad would never dream of sleeping with the woman whose friendship he values so much. But when she arrives at an event in a dress showing too much skin and even more poor judgment, he finds himself wondering what it would look like on his bedroom floor. Worse, his suddenly sexy friend plans an affair with his own brother.

Tonight, he vows, her plans will change. Whether she wants them to or not.

This story also appears in the anthology No Sleep For The Sheikh.

"Excuse me," said a male voice so familiar it stung. "I will speak to Arya. I will bring her back to you."

Javad. Thank God. Rescued. As he took her arm and lead her away from the Aussie, warm relief filled her to her hairline. Except for his promise to bring her back.

"I am not bringing you back," Javad said in her ear, an irritating edge to his voice.

That's right, she reminded herself. She was angry at him. She remembered now, and it came barreling back. He'd practically howled with laughter at the thought of her being the object of a man's seduction. He found the idea of it ridiculous.

Well, he would see how wrong he was.

She wrenched her arm out of his grip, only overcoming his strength because he wasn't expecting it. He reacted with surprise, for him, raising his right eyebrow half a millimeter, an expression no one would notice but her.

Just as she was about to spin away to return to her Aussie, he spoke. "Have you changed your mind, then?"

Changed her mind about what? Wait. Wait, did he mean Darius? Her nerves began to jitter wildly. "He agreed to sleep with me?"

Even she couldn't read his blank expression. He showed no outward clue to what he was thinking or feeling. He simply, with his usual decisive calm, moved to whisper in her ear.

"Come, I'll take you to the place."

His words made no sense. "What?"

"Is there some problem?" Looking away from her, as if they were discussing the weather, he scanned the room methodically. "We can stay here if you like."

"Tonight? You set it up for tonight?" How she managed to get the words out, she didn't know. Was this happening? And was it happening to her?

Javad twisted his wrist ever so slightly, making the watch he loved so much jingle. Usually this indicated some great emotion. Likely he'd been enjoying the party and wanted to stay. "Is there some point in waiting?"

His serious expression confirmed his words. 'Now' really meant 'now.' It seemed so soon. So immediate. So final.

The worst part was that this proved he didn't care for her. This made it all real for her. Javad didn't care if she slept with his own brother, or anyone else. She suddenly felt like she had drunk too much to deal with this. Or not enough.

"I'm not ready." Not ready to sleep with Darius. Not ready to deal with the ultimate rejection from Javad. Twenty-nine years old, and not ready for anything that other people could do easily. The only thing keeping her from sinking to her knees was a lifetime of diplomatic training.

"Nonsense," he told her, and it took a moment for her to remember the topic of conversation. Right, it was her not being ready to sleep with Darius. "You look beautiful tonight. Any man would be lucky. I am tempted to take you for myself."

From the Author

I don't usually write mousy heroines. I like my heroines confident and savvy. Heroines who can really handle their heroes.

So when Arya popped into my head, I wasn't really drawn to her story at first.

It was only when Arya knocked me over the skull and said, "Hey, I'm not who you think I am," that I agreed to bring her to life.

She convinced me that all those confident and savvy heroines have an origin story. So Sheikh with Benefits turned out to be the tale of how a shy girl learns to see herself differently--and make the world see her differently, too. Starting with getting the one man she wants most...

5.0 out of 5 stars Foreplay for the reader January 29, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I read this in record time because I couldn't put it down. I read it more slowly a second time because I want to figure out how Teresa Morgan does what she does.

Before a friend insisted I read Morgan's novel, Cinderella and the Sheikh (Hot Contemporary Romance), I had never gone near a sheikh romance. I associated them with stale stereotypes. Morgan's sheikh stories fascinate me because they blow all the stereotypes out of the water. I think Sheikh with Benefits is her most polished example yet.

In another author's hands, Javad and Arya could have been cardboard. In Morgan's hands, the characters are contemporary and complete. We get to discover their motivations as they discover one another.

And sexy! Too often, romances seem to be written on an "insert sex scene here" template. No foreplay for the reader - just climax. My favourite thing about Sheikh with Benefits is that as the relationship builds, the heat builds. It's integral. It's slow. It's agonizing.

It's so worth it.

I can't wait to meet Morgan's next sheikh.

Long time friends Arya and Sheikh Javad value each other's friendship immensely. Javad, the prince and second son, feels protective of her and longs to see her but doesn't pursue her for more of a relationship for many reasons. Arya has always lived in her sister's shadows as the more subdued and shy sibling. Her father has required her to be at his side helping him in his diplomatic roles. In this role she has been around Javad for a long time and has grown to care for him at a soul deep level. But she has also grown weary of always having to put on a mask and play the perfect hostess. She longs for Javad to show any emotion to give her an indication that there might be more between them. Finally, she has had enough and decides to arrive at an event wearing the most eye-catching dress she can and announce that she is done being on the sidelines. She tells him, just to see his reaction and to force their relationship to take a turn one way or another, that she wishes to sleep with his brother, the king, and wants him to proposition him on her behalf. And that if he doesn't then she will find another man in the room willing to step up and be with her. Javad is forced once and for all to look at her and notice that she is more than a friend and that if he doesn't step up he may loose her forever. This story is very touching given the tenderness the both feel for each other.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better and better March 6, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Teresa Morgan writes about the kinds of things I like, and friends turned lovers has always held a soft spot for me. Shiekh stories, however, is still something new which, more and more I'm becoming attracted to as a reader. Shiekh lovers will adore these books. Non Shiekh lovers should give them a try. You might find yourself being converted :D

4.0 out of 5 stars "Sheikh With Benefits is a quick and fun story." January 6, 2013
By M. Nix
Format:Kindle Edition
Arya is in love with her best friend only he doesn't seem to share her feelings. She is used to being the shy, reliable girl but she is tired of that persona and ready for another. If the man of her dreams can't see her for the beautiful woman that she is Arya will just have to find someone else to share her desires with.

Sheikh Javad Shirin is enamored with the beauty that walked into the party only to then be disturbed when he realizes it's his best friend. He may have never looked at her as a sexual being but when she enlists his help to seduce his brother he must make some quick and important decisions. Will the Sheikh get his girl or will she go home with another?

Sheikh With Benefits is a quick and fun story. I like the characters and it is fun watching these two go back and forth while trying to hide their true feelings. This is not my favorite story from Teresa Morgan and this is mostly due to the fact that I wanted more story. I felt like some things could have been expounded more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Short and Sweet July 19, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I borrowed this e-book from the library & i totally enjoyed the priveledge of owning a Kindle. This is a nice short romance story, its entertaining and amusing which is good for some quick reads. I love the way the author wrote both character's perspective. How I really wish its longer because there were some scenes and back stories that I wanted to know more and wanted to be discussed by the characters. I just felt so rushed, maybe I'm just so used to reading long stories that has depth, otherwise I enjoyed the book. I fell in love with the characters that made me wanted more of them. Eventhough the story was short, I love the fact that Javad - the hero is an alpha male, it would be nice to enjoy him more. He is so possessive and passionate. I recommend this book for a quick read, you'll not regret it.

I ordered Sheikh With Benefits but the one that was sent to my PC Kindle was Handcuffed to a Sheikh --- the cover was correct but not the contents. I tried to find out how to contact the seller but couldn't find out how --- i am hoping the seller will see this comment and get back with me.
UPDATE: I did figure out how to contact Kindle about the error and they contacted me right away. I haven't been able to follow-up on their instructions because i have been ill, but they are working with me on it and are working on resolving the problem with integrety. For me, when i am working with someone and doing business with them, it is not a matter of having everything perfect all the time but rather how they seek to resolve an error when one does happen --- we are all human and all of us make mistakes despite our best efforts, but if we try to correct the error the best that we can, then that is an honorable person/company ---- and that is the reason that i changed my one star rating to five stars.
