5.0 out of 5 stars Sheikh's Castaway : Sons Of The Desert, November 24, 2004
This review is from: Sheikh's Castaway: Sons Of The Desert (Silhouette Desire) (Mass Market Paperback)
I am a avid follower of this series since day one and this book followed my expectations of this author. It is a short read, entertaining, and I find this series of Sheikh books to follow the ability to weave in other characters from books which helps the series pull together. It was a good spin on a new idea, and for some reason I cannot pinpoint, is always worth my money, something others writing in this theme may not always be. I would highly recommend this book to those of you waffling on the edge, and I think enough of this series to keep them all and collect them, rereading them from time to time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Read, November 8, 2004

This review is from: Sheikh's Castaway: Sons Of The Desert (Silhouette Desire) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the first time that I have read this author and I bought it because I enjoy this line of books and tend to like Sheikh stories. This was a quick read, as most Harlequin's are, and the characters have a very compelling chemistry for each other that they try to deny. This author takes this story to a stranded island and so it is just the two characters for almost the entire book, not an easy thing to do. For the most part, it was very good. I am giving this 4 stars because that means "I liked it" (as opposed to the 5 stars means "I love it"). I did have two complaints while reading, the small one is that a fairy tale is told in the book, and although I saw the point to its usage, it was a little too long. But, this wasn't that big a deal. My biggest complaint about this book (and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars) is that because it is a Sheikh story, the story contains another culture, and the author uses several foreign words, that were not always easy to discern their meaning from the context, and the author did not include any definitions in the story. I did like this book and recommend it because of the strength of the characters and also because the things that bothered me may not bother others.
