The Sheik's Safety by Dana Marton
Harlequin Intrigue # 859 - July 2005 - SDDU series Book #3

King Mijad of Beharrain has his sites on recovering land from Yemen that he feels had been stolen from his ancestors. His greatest obstacle is his cousin Sheik Saeed, from whom he had stolen the monarchy. Saeed had journeyed to his Bedouin camp in the desert, in the hopes of shaking off the assassins. Dara is an agent for the SDDU, and while on a mission in Beharrain to stop a shipment of smuggled arms, her plane is shot down. Saeed finds Dara unconscious in the desert. When they are safely in camp, Dara contacts her superiors and her mission has now changed. She is to protect Sheik Saeed with her life and help him defeat his cousin and take the throne.

From the moment these two meet they are swept from one threat to another - from assassins and sand storms to imprisonment and rebellion. Their growing respect and admiration for each other only fuels their sizzling attraction. Amidst all the danger, they fall in love, and share some really spectacular love scenes. This is a five star rating all the way!

SDDU (Special Designation Defense Unit) series by Dana Marton

The SDDU is an elite group compiled of agents from all the US agencies; CIA, FBI, SEALs, Special Forces; the best of the best. The SDDU is Homeland Security's special weapon against terrorism.
Shadow Soldier / Secret Soldier
The Sheik's Safety / Camouflage Heart
Rogue Soldier / Protective Measures
These are all incredible reads! If you like action, adventure and romance, these will not disappoint you. I love that Ms. Marton writes her heroines to be equally as brave and strong as her heroes.

From the Jungles to the Deserts Dana Marton offers intrigue, love, sex, excitement and strong characters. This book is about a female member of the SDDU, Dana, she is lost in the desert after her plane is shot out of the air and when nearly dead found by the Sheik. He saves her and offers her safety. Together they over throw his cousin's reign of terror in the small country where they live. Happily ever after but only after many trials and recoveries. Good read, don't miss this one.

I purchased this book because it was one of several in a mini series I am reading that I did not own. It is an excellent book with lots of action and romance. The characters are interesting and your imagination will run rampant. The action starts almost immediately and continue throughout the book. If you like romantic intrigue books, you will like this one.
