This review is from: Sheila Hicks: Weaving as Metaphor (Bard Graduate Center for Studies in the Decorative Arts, Design & Culture) (Hardcover)
That was the award this book received when it was first published in 2006.As a graphic designer specialized in bookdesign I more or less tend to follow this quotation. Tastes differ but this surely is a beauty indeed. Four stars !

A well done book ordered as a gift for my daughter who is a fibers major. It just took too long to get but well worth the wait.

a wonderfull book both for the outstanding images of her large and small works combined with some insight into her remarkable career. The book itself is a handsome object ( a treasure).

I had read that it was "the most beautiful book in the world", so I had to see for myself. After taking this book out from my university library and falling in love with it, I can say it really is! It has been on my wish list for quite some time and has been worth waiting for. |
