5.0 out of 5 stars For those snazzy stainless steel appliances...
...that show every drop of water or smudge: this stuff is the only cleaner that works 100% of the time on 100% of all the standard stainless appliances.. it ain't the cheapest on the market, but I've tossed away close to $50 on other products that just don't do what they advertise. 3.0 out of 5 stars Very Average. I see nothing that special about it
Well, I bought this, as I read it mentioned somewhere as being 'THE" only stainless steel cleaner that works. Sure it works, and it works just as well, or not as well, as any of the other multitude of stainless steel cleaners you can buy here or anywhere. I have several reviews of cleaners on this site.
Sheila Shine is way messier than many other cleaners, too. You...

...that show every drop of water or smudge: this stuff is the only cleaner that works 100% of the time on 100% of all the standard stainless appliances.. it ain't the cheapest on the market, but I've tossed away close to $50 on other products that just don't do what they advertise. You MUST remove any dirt, food particles, etc., first from the surface of the appliance you're cleaning.. then apply the Shiela Shine to a clean cloth and apply "with the grain" of your stainless steel finish; use the same cloth to remove any residue.. really fast and simple.. and somehow it sets up a barrier for future fingerprints, etc., although eventually you will have to repeat the process.. but it's TOTALLY painless and really a terrific product,

The scent (or smell) associated with the use of Shiela Shine is strong and not very appealing, but it dissipates/fades in less than a minute..

Shipping is always a pisser; why not order enuf of this stuff to put it over the 25 dollar limit w/Amazon and get it shipped free.. it'll probably be a lifetime supply, because you don't use a great deal of it for each "treatment".. I ordered 2 of the aerosol cans.. I don't think the quart cleaner or polish was available at the time I ordered mine, so cannot comment on what they're like.. this "testimonial" pertains to the aerosol.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Product, August 22, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Was at my wits end trying to find a great product for all my stainless steel appliances, even tried commercial products used by all the local restaurants but just couldn't find the "right" one. My daughter-in-law suggested Shelia Shine - so I ordered my first can 2 years ago. This is the most amazing product. Do not need a whole lot....goes very far with only a little bit on the cloth. I love the "citrus" scent. I recommend it to everyone and send it to all our family & friends as "new" home gifts for the ones that have stainless in their kitchens. There isn't enough that I can say about this product but that it's the best!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars NOT for CLEANING - POLISHES ONLY - and Well. Please Read my Review!, December 1, 2010

This review is from: Sheila Shine Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish 1 Quart Can Sold Indivdually (Office Product)
I purchased this product based upon reviews which suggested that this product cleans and shines. It is marginal to ineffective at cleaning stainless steel; however, it is excellent for protecting and shining stainless steel.

Here's the 411: If your stainless steel appliances are dirty, clean them thoroughly first with a solution of baking soda and water. Scrub, scrub, scrub and only WITH the grain of the steel. DO NOT USE A 3M GREEN PAD - it will scratch. Use a sponge and baking soda.

If there are scratches from everyday use on your appliances, this is your opportunity to eradicate them. Use very fine sandpaper (300 to 800) to sand the scratches out by hand, using your finger and a small bit of sandpaper. Don't panic if your hand slips and you make a mistake and go against the grain, just sand AGAIN IN THE DIRECTION OF THE GRAIN and your scratches should disappear. Wipe the micro shavings/dust clean with a soft microfiber cloth. Do not attempt this step on stainless steel which does not have a directional pattern as you will simply make a mess of your finishes.

Then, when you have cleaned your appliances and they are as clean as you can get them, you should apply Sheila Shine on a soft, lint free cloth.

Here's what the Sheila Shine does, IMHO: it shines your clean appliances and puts an imperceptible oil-like clear coating over the clean stainless. Why would you want such a finish? Because, next time you have splatters, smudges, etc., you can wipe down your stainless with a clean microfiber cloth, moistened if necessary, and the usual kitchen splatter will easily slide off.

It is important that I direct your attention to the fact that this product smells like lacquer thinner or gasoline and you wouldn't want to use this just prior to having guests. Choose a day when your cleaning daemon wakes you with a mission to compulsively clean and you have no one coming over for at least two days to perform this task. Then, later, when your guests do arrive, they will marvel at your blazingly bright, seemingly new stainless steel appliances!

This product is amazing! We just moved into our house and have all stainless steel appliances. Even brand new, nothing else could keep them clean. This leaves no streaks or filminess. We love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars This Stuff Works, June 13, 2011

This review is from: Sheila Shine Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish 1 Quart Can Sold Indivdually (Office Product)
I ended up buying this because I couldn't afford to buy more of the sample that came with my stainless appliances (Signature Polish, something like $50 since they make you purchase 2 bottles), and was crossing my fingers it would work, judging by the reviews. Well, it did. I ended up shining my bread maker, kitchen faucet, and toaster as well. I'll probably shine everything I can get my hands on at this rate. I have had no streak problems at all. My fridge looks great.

For anyone who might have used the scrubby side of a sponge on their stainless fridge and are now sad-faced over the resulting fine scratches: I used 300 weight sandpaper (very fine) and sanded in the direction of the stainless grain until the scratches disappeared. Then I shined it with Sheila Shine and they are completely gone and my fridge surface looks perfect again. Good times in stainless-ville!

Enjoy, Sheila Shine is so snazzy I'm thinking about using it in my car (though the fumes might make me drop dead).

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent SS cleaner. Best kept secret. Value for money.., April 11, 2009
This review is from: Sheila Shine Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish 1 Quart Can Sold Indivdually (Office Product)
This is one of the best SS cleaner out there. It works fast to clean dirt, very fast in restoring shine and somehow keeps the shine lasting longer than other products. I was told this product was used in the 70's for shining bank vaults. I read a lot of reviews on the internet and the reviews point to this product often. I am glad AMAZON has a great deal on the overall price for such a large volume. I ended up giving to my friends and they rave about this anytime SS discussion is brought up. Quite sad the appliance stores push the manufacturer product (Whirpool, Maytag, etc) which is far far inferior and costs a ton more while keeping products like this in the back shelf. Thank God for the internet where the best products will eventually find its way up the ladder.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shiela Shine, November 16, 2008
I worked in a hospital many years. The stainless steel sinks always looked bright and shiny, so I asked Housekeeping what did they used - Shiela Shine. Nothing else I've ever purchased does as good a job.
