I bought this for my 1 year old son and although he doesn't yet know how to use the tools, he enjoys playing with them and teething them. He likes to turn the wheels by hand and is learning to use the screwdriver on the hubcaps. Plus as a truck, he can push it around and he enjoys that too. I recommend this for teething, curious boys!

My two-year-old boy loves cars, tools and monkeys. This toy has all of them! He likes to play with the truck without the tools. The holes for the tools are big enough for his other little toy figures. He pretends the monkey is driving a school bus with animals. He also enjoys playing with the tools. The toy is pretty durable. After being played and burried in the sand box for a month, it is still working!

Little boys love this toy. It makes noises when you turn the wheels and the monkey. My little one doesn't use it as a car. But, he does enjoy taking the tools out and trying to fix other cars.

Pros:

Little enough a toddler can carry it around
The tools are sized just right for a toddler's hand
The wheels spin (that's a plus with my son!)
Bright colors and cute design
Durable (can stand up to a toddler's abuse)
Move-able vehicle

Cons:

Not really an activity toy

This is a cute, fun toy, especially if your toddler likes tools and vehicles! You can use the wrench and screwdriver to turn the lugs on the wheels but I don't think most kids will be able to manage that until they're closer to two and there are many other toys that do that job better... When I purchased this toy I thought it was more interactive. However, the tools are a great size for toddlers and my son carries them around and play with them all the time. It is a good toy if you're looking for toy tools with a vehicle as a bonus!

One note though, the screwdriver is the perfect size to pit in the FP Busy Ball Popper and can get jammed down in the air tube by resourceful toddlers. We've always been able to get it out thus far though!

Excellent durability, price, age appropiate. Truck has out lasted several intensive grandchildren.(Although several pieces are missing). Kids especially like built in handle.

I gave this to my cousin's son for his first birthday. My cousin says that Adam loves the truck and likes to ram it into a fire truck he also received. (I guess that means it's durable!) I haven't seen the truck itself, but from everything my cousin tells me and from the pics she sent, it's a big hit.

My son really enjoys using the tools to "fix" the wheels. Item was better built than I had expeced (good thing). Downside, he sort of lost interest in it fairly quickly, but that may be a result of a bunch of other unexpected toys bestowed on us.

This freewheeling tool truck comes with everything your child needs for on-the-go fun! The set includes a hammer, screwdriver, wrench and saw. All of the tools sit inside the truck for easy storage. The screwdriver and the wrench can be used to turn the clicking truck wheels. The hammer has a squeaker. The truck is equiped a convenient carry handle.

My two year old keeps trying to remove the wheels from every car he owns, so I had hoped to find one where the wheels were supposed to come off, and he could use the tools to put them back on. Alas, this is not that toy. The screwdriver, hammer, and wrench come out of the truck. You can use the screwdriver and wrench to turn the "hubcap" area of the wheel, but the wheels do not come off. And, it's hard for little hands to manage even that much. Deep grooves around the hubcap might have helped him keep the screwdriver in there while he turns, but those are absent and he isn't capable of doing anything with it at all, except pushing it across the floor. So if you want a generic car to push across the floor and a few plastic tools, this might be great. But don't expect anything else.
