All aboard for an action-packed ride on the Shake 'n Bobbles Rockin' Railroad! Just set "Nova" into his freewheeling car, then load the car onto the train bed. Put "Zano" into the engine seat, press his head, and enjoy the ride as the train engine comes to life with lights, sounds, music and travelin' action. You can take control with the 3 buttons on the special action track! Press them one at a time to blow the whistle, run the continuous loop, or make the engine stop and shake in place. And don't forget to lower the safety crossing gate! The train tracks feature easy-snap assembly, and the train and car run on the tracks and directly on the floor. Includes: motorized engine, train car, car, engineer, car driver, 6 curved track pieces and 2 straight track pieces with bumps for shake 'n bobble action.

This is chunky, bright and fun to handle for the recommended age group (2+) but has some problems. The servo noise from the mechanism is so loud that the music and sound effects are barely audible. The engine itself tends to jump track on the bends. You can overcome this by playing with the angle/elevation of the track and the direction of the train but it's supposed to be a simple, flat circuit so this would seem to be an awful lot of work to keep it on track. The motion of the train causes the track to slip around on a bare table or wood floor which can also unseat it. Finally the trigger (pushing down on the train driver) seems to be a bit of an art; you have to push it in just the right place & angle, and if you get it really wrong the whole thing can flip up and the bits go all over the place. I also think it might be a little boring for more advanced 2 year olds. It's cute but for just a few more dollars you could get something much better designed.

Purchased this for a grandson and overall he enjoyed it.The box had no directions on nor in it as to what the colored buttons did, nor how to make the train do the other functions. Granted it's not rocket-science, but trial & error isn't something to be doing when a 2-year old wants to play. Also, the train wheels slip going up the grade at the "station" so dust/dirt is definitely going to be an issue.

I thought this would be really cute for my nephew, but he was kinda young to understand it. He liked watching it go around, but he couldn't figure it out on his own.Defiantly very sturdy cause it gets thrown around in toy boxes and it still works great.
