10' x 10' E Series Shed Works Well,
This review is from: ShelterLogic 10X10X8 E Series Shed (Gray) (Sports)
I had to make some modifications to the installation process as I built a wood floor to which I attached the shed. Overall, I think it's a good product and is sturdy once it's completely finished, the cover is attached and properly adjusted, and tie-down systems are secured. The zipper door works well and I'm happy with the space the shed provides. I would criticize the installation instructions for being a little confusing, so putting the shed together took longer than I expected. You also have to put the framework together and then disassemble it later in order to finish attaching the cover. Don't build it on a windy day. I thought that the way the end-walls were cut and rigged seemed a little out of whack which makes attaching them hard to understand and maybe the rigging will put additional stress on the fabric and tear it out. It is necessary to do some adjusting on the cover to get it to fit right. Also, There are quite a few hardware parts to assemble. I would like few parts and more simplicity. I mounted the structure ON TOP of a wood floor. If I was doing it over, I'd make the wood floor slightly smaller and have it be completely INSIDE of the shed with the shed being mounted on the ground. This would make water penetration at the floor level much easier to prevent. The bottom line is that once you get it built, it's pretty good. Additionally, the manual states that it is NOT intended for permanent installation. It cautions you that if you want for permanent install, you must use 30" anchors NOT INCLUDED. Only 4 small 15" anchors are included with the shed kit; that's not enough for good wind resistance.

This is my second tarp shed. The first one was made by a different company. This ShelerLogic shed was shipped complete with no missing pieces. The packaging was good. It went together well. First you assemble the frame, then you through the tarp over and tighten down. There is only one door. In the picture it looks like the back might open up, but it doesn't. There may be a kit available to add a door to the back, but I only need one door - so I didn't look into it. This shed has a nice feature my first one doesn't. There are two grommeted holes just above the door and two bungee cords. This allows you to roll up the door and then lock it open. I wished my other shed had this feature. The kit also includes looking hardware which pulls the tarp taut over the shell. This worked out really nice. It also comes with anchors that help you tie the shed down to the ground so it won't blow away in a windstorm. They seem to work as it hasn't blow over yet. I use it primarily to store a motorcycle -- and it works great. A few things you should be aware of. On a sunny day, these sheds get very hot inside - even if it's not that hot outside. So, be aware of this if are storing anything that is particularly sensitive to high temperatures. Second, when it blows in the winter, snow will enter the tent through the bottom of the door and also under the back panel opposite the door. The sides, by contrast have a lot of flap hanging over and so I've never gotten snow in through the sides. Third, there is really no way to lock this shed -- and even if you could, anyone with a knife could cut there way in. Thus, not so good for securing anything of value. Lastly, there is no floor. If you put the shed on your grass, the grass within one season will die and you will end up with a dirt floor which becomes a mud floor when it rains. I built a floor using pressure treated lumber. The floor set me back about $100 and 3 hours but is well worth it. Overall, this is a great shed. It's much cheaper then an aluminum kit shed; it's easy to assemble; it does the job; and it lasts a long time. I would not hesitate to buy another one -- or recommend one to my friend.

Glad I did'nt waste a bundle of money on one of those
stupid metal sheds. This thing is far superior, at a fraction of the cost. I put it together by myself, in a windstorm! only problem I had was that one of the strap ratchets fell apart. I called Shelter Logic, and they shipped a replacement same day. I can't review the anchor system. I din't use it. I built a floor to bolt it down to. Just love it. Shelter Logic and Northern Tools & Equipment are tops in my book

We recently purchased the ShelterLogic 10x10 for additional storage at our permanent camping site. So far we are very satisfied with this product - we wanted to get mowers, a glider swing, brooms, rolled fences for vegetable garden, and other items out of cold and snowy winter weather - plus eliminating the "junky" look around the camper. We plan to use it year long as with the summer comes planting flowers and vegetables utencils, containers, bags of dirt, etc. We got the grey shelter and when we checked it last week, it was nice and toasty inside so i'm thinking it'll be a great place to put spring plants prior to planting if the weather is cold and rainy. The village where we have our camper is small and we're not concerned about locking it. I am thinking about getting a smaller one for our home for my planting equipment, etc. (I'm a messy gardener!)

2 years and starting to rip,

Be advised that if you leave this up year round, it will start to tear within 24 months. Pinholes started appearing after one year and an 8 inch tear has appeared, plus several smaller tears. The gray material is thin as paper and not the least bit durable. Keep in mind this is nothing more than a temporary solution for a storage need. Considering the amount of work required to assemble the frame, I would think twice before wanting another one. Better cover materials are available but the cost makes you stop and think about putting up a regular shed instead.

Not bad for the money,
This review is from: ShelterLogic 10X10X8 E Series Shed (Gray) (Sports)
If you've shopped around, you know that sheds aren't cheap. So when I picked up one of these as temporary storage for under $150 I was pleased. I only intend to use it for overflow from my house while working on various projects. Unless you have a super flat yard, I recommend building a floor. It must be anchored either to a floor or the ground. So it makes little sense to try and anchor to a sloping yard. It'll look stupid if nothing else. I agree with another reviewer that you should build the floor so it sits high inside the shed and prevents water from getting to the "floor." It's not a tent, so it has no floor per se. The instructions are awful so be patient and you'll make it through by figuring out stuff on your own. This will entail some trial and error. Do allow at least 4 hours to put it together. For housing outdoor things that may be ok getting a little wet, this is a good move. I wouldn't put anything to fragile in this shed. It may blow away or the wind may be able to drive some water into it. It's not like a permanent shed. Oh, and don't expect that animals won't be able to get in, it's not that well sealed.

This is a well constructed Shed and the extra height is great because you can walk comfortably on the inside. The instructions are very confusing. My husband and I figured out how to put it together. You need 2 people to put this together but once it's up you will be very pleased with the quality. We are using the shed for the "overflow" of stuff in our house.

I needed a temporary shed to store things in while I renovated the existing one. This shed showed up in record time and really wasn't that hard to put together. Needs 2 people though. My only problem with it is that it does flap around a lot when it's windy but it stays in place. Once I finish my renovation I am going to use this to house my snow blower. I like the fact that I can move it around as well. Good buy.

Shelter/weight room,

I purchased the ShelterLogic shed to actually use as an outside weight room.
I had moved from a three bedroom two car garage apartment into a two bedroom with no covered garage space. I placed the ShelterLogic in my back yard for the weight room use. The product arrived promptly on time and the material was a good quality. It does take two, three better people to erect the Shelter. With two young people with strong backs it took every bit of four hours plus to erect the Shelter. The Shelter is protected from wind on three sides so we didn't have to weight it down. Assembly instructions not really for lay people.

This is very difficult to assemble and the directions are very poor. Written instructions are confusing and the pictures are useless. I don't know how it will hold up to weather.
