5.0 out of 5 stars WOW, July 7, 2006

This review is from: The Shelter of Rainbows: Hope, Harmony, and Inspiration in Compassionate Healthcare (Paperback)
This is the email I sent one of the authors:

I had to write and let you know how fantastically moving I found your book. I can't remember the last time I sat down and read an entire book--not written by Dr. Seuss! I couldn't put yours down. It was so insightful. I could relate as both as a health care worker and as a care provider of my mother during her almost year long hospitalization before her death in 1998.

Some people were placed on this Earth to take care of others (patients or family/friends). Others got into healthcare to merely frustrate those in the first group. I feel the truly compassionate will always prevail, because I believe in the "life being a circle" theory. You get what you give.

Thanks to both you and Dana for sharing these touching stories. I think of you often and how you face each obstacle with such courage and grace. You are truly inspirational.

I look forward to giving these books as gifts. If you stop and think about it, if everyone who went in to healthcare was required to read this book, a lot of negative energy could be removed from the healing process. Kind of a "pay it forward" thing. Could be huge.
