OK shelter, not for vehicles,
By
This review is from: ShelterLogic 10x20 1-3/8" 8-Leg Canopy (Sports)
I bought this shelter on a Wednesday and paid for shipping instead of the Free Ship option. It was shipped from factory in CT to MA and had it Friday, probably could have got it just as fast and saved $16 ship.
Info on warranty in packet says this canopy IS NOT meant for heavy rain, wind, or snow. LIGHT DUTY ONLY. This is NOT mentioned in any ads and the picture shows a vehicle under it. Warranty clearly states that the factory WILL NOT cover ANY damage from weather! Period! No Exceptions (their words). They say the canopy MUST BE taken down in winter or impending bad weather. Know what your buying here. Description info is misleading.

Good product, we are using it for a horse shelter against the heat and the rain.

The canopy is much lighter duty than I had hoped. I have seen many other 8 leg portable car ports that have much thicker walled pipes and are much sturdier. This is just a shade canopy - not a portable car port. Don't look at this for long term storage. Also, if you plan on using in any breeze, you should plan on drilling approximately 60 holes and installing bolts (not included) to hold this together. Personally, I wouldn't have purchased this if I could have seen it in person first.

Bought this 14 months ago and set it up on my patio with walls on three sides. Once I set it up, I left it up continuously. We liked this shelter because it is gave great size for the price and the canopy was well designed to fit the frame. Especially liked that the canopy overhung the frame and maximized the area that was kept out of the sun and rain. We had plenty of strong winds and sun in Hawaii and the shelter has stood up well. I am writing this review now because over the last three months we have started to notice leaks in the canopy. The leaks are occurring where the canopy and the top cross bar meet, as you would expect. Still very happy with the purchase. Plan on using a higher duty cover as a replacement, hope I can find one that fit as well as the last one.

Poor assembly preformance,

I was hoping for a quality product and even invested in the stronger version. Covering is thin, spacing to far apart even to handle light snow for long. Winds can cause legs to break free even when double staked in the ground. I am not likely to purchase from this manufacture again But it is a good shelter.

Very easy to set up. Instructions stated 2 hours with two people. Took my wife and I 25 minutes from the time we opened the box to final set up. Very sturdy and did not move in high wind.

I purchased this to be used as a shelter for my goats. I have it enclosed on 3 sides with cattle panels and by having it secured to the panels and being smart enough to tie down at least 1 top tubing to a T-post, this is working well. We just experienced wind gusts of over 45 mph and this didn't budge a bit. Granted, for snowload I take a broom to knock off from the inside, but it was cheaper than a barn. All pieces were included in packaging, directions were extremely easy to follow and it went together in about 20 minutes. For conventional use I would recommend people tying a wire, or rope from the top tubes (not the legs) to something to help anchor it, but it is better than I could have imagined.
