Great product for the money, however they do have problems with quality control. For example we had to file down the inside of the pipes before assembly because they were to lazy at the factory to file down the burrs that are created when you drill through a pipe one way to make holes. You couldn't put the poles together until this was done. This added 2 hours to our assembly time. Also the pins were missing that hold the canopy together at the top, but the company shipped them out right away and we got it 3 days later. Glad there was no wind storms. When we finally got it together it was good and solid and is now a permanent structure over our dock. Just be prepared for it when you put it together!

First the bad: This product is really not packaged to be shipped overnight. The package was in bad shape and I should have sent it back. But I really need it. So I took a chance. Assembly is fast and easy with two people. You will need a rubber mallet to knock the pieces together. Some of the drill holes have burrs. Other than that, lay it out before you start. Mine was missing the pins that help hold it together. (Lost in shipping I guess.) So a quick trip to the hardware store was needed. Other than that, no problems.
Now the good: This thing is well thought out. When completed it is as stong as you could hope. Mine has been it some strong storms and winds up to thirty-five mph, no problem. I order the side kit, but have not had time to put it on. I give ShelterLogic an A+ on this product.

Canopy is great, quality is good, easy to install. The unit has been up over a month and in that time we have had some big storms with heavy winds and rain. No Problems.

not difficult to put together and parts fit very good but i did not feel safe with it if any wind came up so i used bolts instead of the pins that came with it and used taping screws in areas where it was pressure put together and used many anchor straps-----now it should withstand 30-40 mph winds. factory should go ahead and drill for all connections and include bolts and add a little extra charge. this should eliminate the wind complaints with it coming apart.

This is a well engineered, well made product. Very strong yet easy to put together. Best we've found, and a good value too.

One of the best purchases I did from Amazon. At $270 plus free shipping, nothing beats it. It costs a lot more from Home Depot plus you pay for shipping costs. Assembly takes time though but only because I and my husband are no handymen, but once up it really looks not just pretty but very functional. It held up to the destructive winds in the Los Angeles area during the first week of December, 2011. And we haven't even bolted it to our cemented driveway yet(we will eventually though). It really is a great product.

Make sure you grab a friend, rubber mallet a grinder to deburr the ends and a few hours to assemble. This Canopy is great in theory but bad in concept. It would help if ShelterLogic did quality checks on their products! Nice once it is fully installed.

Wowwwwww,, this is heavy duty.Easy to assemble with a ruber hamer.Very good quality. It should be pack in 2 boxes.It is way to heavy for one box. Thank you
