I've been involved in outdoor events (swim meets, soccer games, job fairs, health fairs, picnics and more) for many years. I've used all the shade solutions--the easy pop-up and the more permanent assemble-on-the-spot types. I've seen them all collapse due to rain and wind and understand that ALL shade structures are vulnerable to the elements. I don't expect miracles from shade structures.

I love the Quick Clamp Canopy. It's portable, easy to set up especially in confined areas, it is extremely flexible and two people can do it quickly. We've used it on tables with ease and success. But what it can do that other canopy designs can't is clamp on to bleachers!! What a treat to be able to sit in the shade in bleachers! If the weather gets a little dicey, we just take it down.

I thought this would be the perfect camping solution - easy protection for the picnic table without having to set up a separate tarp with poles and/or strung from trees. While a bit heavy, it's OK for car camping and folds up relatively compactly (about a 40"x8" package). It was even pretty simple to put up (although the continuous velcro attachment was sort of annoying). So far, so good. And then during the night it rained. Water collected in the tarp and ultimately brought the whole thing down. The clamp bent to an unusable degree, and two of the (cheaply made) plastic connectors broke. So not so good. But I thought I'd figure out some way to drain the water as it collected in the tarp and also call ShelterLogic and get replacement parts. Silly me. When I called, I was told that these parts were not available. Ever. And that "acts of nature" (rain) weren't covered under the warranty. I don't know, I suppose that if they actually advertised this as a shelter from sun only, it'd be one thing. But they don't. So I'll never buy another ShelterLogic product again.

Love it! Get lots of comments when we're camping at the beach. The framework is very sturdy and easy to assemble. It was missing one small part when I got it, but I can easily pick that up at the hardware store and it isn't entirely necessary anyway. (a small set screw) Price was great and delivery was very quick.

This shelter is sturdy enough but I gave it a 3 star because it isn't very user friendly. The canopy should have been cut a couple of inches longer and wider because it fits over the metal frame and secures with velcro this would be fine except it is cut so skimpy that I could not actually secure it all the way round because it wasn't full cut enough. And one end that goes over the ridge pole had to be left unsecured because the canopy needs to be about 1 to 2 inches longer as well. So except for this annoying aspect it was ok.

We got two of these canopies for car camping and picnic days. They are very easy to transport with the wheeled bag, and easy to put up. You need two people and ten minutes -- not bad!

Last time we used them, we got light rain, and both canopies were completely fine. We ate dinner under them and it was perfect. When it got windy and colder, we went inside the tents and the next morning, they were still standing in place.

They are great to protect from sun, and adjustable. Sometimes picnic tables are longer than the standard, so we have attached the canopies to the side of the table. No problem.

We love them and we wouldn't go camping without them
