I am hoping it will last for years and it looks like it might.

The 2nd week the left side of the main tarp panel ripped right down the seam that wrapped around the supporting metal bar of the frame.

It is very well built, the materials appear to be of good quality, durable and absolutely waterproof.

I live in an apartment complex without covered or indoor parking. I wanted to keep my baby ('07 Goldwing) protected from the weather and dry when it rains. There is a private "patio" with privacy hedges along the front of the two story town houses that's just enough bigger than the shelter that I can get around it easily. It is very well built, the materials appear to be of good quality, durable and absolutely waterproof. It's fairly easy to assemble even alone. I started inside but quickly moved outside while it would fit through the door. It's well protected from the wind by the hedges, so it's free standing. I didn't think the landlord would appreciate holes in the concrete for the anchors. There have been some nasty thunderstorms with high winds and it hasn't moved. Not mfg's fault but there were a lot of sections of the tube frame missing. First call got a promise to get them to me in 10 days, second call actually got them ordered and delivered as promised. Absolutely no problems replacing the pieces the freight company lost. The box is heavy but I got it in the house without help. The inside has plenty of space for this very large motorcycle. Able to ride it in, just have to lower the antennae first. I added velcro to the roof and the flap door to hold it open when it's breezy. I thought some ties inside and outside at the top of the door could have been sewn into the seams and would have made it easy to keep the door open, but the velcro works well. The floor is the concrete and the sides are long enough that they curve outwards and keep the rain from coming in. It would be perfect for any motorcycle (possibly two crotch rockets), ATV or lawn tractor. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this highly. Wish I'd known about these years ago and plan to take it with me if I move.

I purchased the Shed In A Box to use in astronomy. I tried several tents and none worked well. Then I discovered Shed In A Box and decided to give it a try. It was a good move. Shed In A Box is made of steel pipes that all fit together easily and they stay that way even when moved. The covering is made of thick and strong plastic that so far has weathered heavy rains and wind. The only problem I see when using this as just a shed to store equipment is that rain can run under the bottom edges and get the ground wet underneath the stored equipment. But in most cases this is not a problem. My use for my Shed In A box is in astronomy. It is just the right size for one person to move. With it fully assembled I can pick it up and move it to where I want. It does a great job protecting me from the elements. When it is very cold I go inside and with my Heater Buddy I am warm and cozy. My telescope is just outside the enclosure with cables running between the two. Shed in a box is easy to assembly. I assembled the whole thing in about 2 hours. Since I move the enclosure each time I observe I had to make some modifications. I added braces across the bottom of both the front and back to maintain the correct size and to make it more rigid. To make it more air tight I modified the way the covering is attached. I am also adding a window in the front so I can see the movement of my telescope when I am inside. This enclosure was designed to be in fixed position with stakes in the ground. But using it as an astronomical hut works great. I can walk into the enclosure and stand up without hitting my head. I am 5 foot 11 inches tall. It will accommodate two observers with their equipment very comfortable.Read more ›

I bought this to house my Honda Silverwing 600 maxi scooter. I've been using a standard sized Bike Barn, which turns out to be
just a bit too small. Also, it's been blown around and torn up quite a lot - but that's another story. This ShelterLogic shelter is quite roomy by comparison, and gives me plenty of extra room to work on the bike in there, etc. I like that it's not
too tall (6 1/2 feet at the ridge), which I think gives it a more stable profile out in the wind, and we have plenty of that here in NM, especially now, in the Spring. This shelter must be staked down, and the kit comes with four auger style stakes to use for this. I was only able to use one of them because of the rocky soil here, so I used three other metal ground stakes for the three other corners, and so far it's working fine.

The shelter doors - there are three separate pieces to this thing; two end door pieces, and the top cover piece - will blow around in the wind, so you shouldn't expect them to be perfectly "tight" and sealed. This shelter isn't completely tight anyway, and you will get dust blown into it to some degree. The picture makes it look more sealed up then it actually is, and any wind will compromise that picture-perfect fantasy anyway.

All in all I'm happy with it thus far - I've had it up for a week now. You'll need some basic hand skills and tools to erect it, and one person can do it easily enough. I can't speak to longevity of course. However the quality seems to me to be capable of some of that.

UPDATE AFTER A WINDY, DUSTY WEEK OF USE:

If you need a shelter that will keep dust out; if you live in a windy area where there is a lot of dust/dirt/earth, etc., then I'd suggest you look for a different shelter system. This one won't do it.
