When I first heard Christmas Shoes I was in a rush and didn't listen to it much. But, it caught my attention and I listened carefully to the chorus. It made me so emotional and I fell in love with it instantly. I could help but by the CD so I could listen to the song over and over. I love it.

These songs will touch your life in a way nothing else can. What an inspirational group of songs. My friend recommended this CD to me because she said it was me. I have cancer and I like to listen to songs like this to give me my daily lift. It is also a great message for my kids. Thanks for producing it,

It has been a pleasure to hear that song day by day especially since i lost my mother about 6 years ago. It reminds me how special it had been to wake up christmas day and see her open a gift eventhough i knew was going to loss her someday. This song has yours ears open on how to show a child the true meaning of christmas. I thank New Song for "christmas shoe" the children i had asked to hear it has a complete new direction on the meaning of christmas.

ON MY WAY TO WORK I HEARD THE SONG "THE CHRISTMAS SHOES", THIS SONG MAKES YOU TRUELY TREASURE YOUR FAMILY, AND REMEMBER THE LITTLE THINGS WE TAKE FOR GRANTED WILL SOMEDAY BE OUR MOST IMPORTANT TREASURE, UNFORTUNATELY IT WILL BE AFTER THERE GONE. THIS SONG WILL PUT THINGS IN FOCUS, AND HELP ALL SEE THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS, A CELEBRATION OF BIRTH AND THE CELEBRATION OF FAMILY.

I bought this CD for two songs, Wonderful One and Red Letter Day. Little did I know that this CD is so full of great music that I would listen to it constantly. It was a couple of other albums that got me interested in Newsong and this by far is better than the ones that introduced me to the band. If you are looking for a praise CD and one that will also lift your spirits, this is one to own. I take it with me almost constantly. I listen to it at work, in my car and at home. It is that good.

I was going to my friends house for the night, when i heard the song palying. I didn't really have time to listen to the lyrics. Later that night we were listening to it. She said,"Isn't this the saddest song." I listened and i said yes, sad but a great song. It shows not only that christmas is about presents and receiving presents, it is about giving. I think it is a greatest song that Newsong wrote

I JUST GOT THIS CD YESTERDAY AND I LISTENED TO IT AND THE WHOLE ALBUM IS GREAT BUT MY FAVORITE SONG IS "I AM NOTHING WITHOUT CHRIST " BECAUSE IN THIS LIFE IN WHICH WE ARE LIVING WE ARE NOTHING WITHOUT CHRIST ! MY SECOND FAVORITE IS " DON'T IT MAKE YOU WANNA GO HOME " TRULEY WE HAVE A LOT TO LOOK FORWARD TOO WHEN JESUS CHRIST SPLITS THE EASTERN SKIES AND TAKES US HOME OR IF WE GO HOME BY THE WAY OF DEATH ANYWAY WE GET THERE WILL SURLY WORTH EVERYTHING WE HAVE GONE THRU IN THIS LIFE !! WAY TO GO NEWSONG !!!!

Yes, The Christmas Shoes is one of those maudlin, tear-jerking, manipulative songs that join "Butterfly Kisses" as sop songs. But I don't mind sop songs where they're performed with conviction and honesty. Newsong has done that with this new Christmas favorite, and on this collection, their sincerity and musical talent once again shines. Many of the songs are a little too repetitious in their tones and compositions, thereby making them interchangeable. Still, "Defining Moment," "Don't It Make You Want to Go Home," "Nothing Without Christ", "God and Time" and "Hope Changes Everything" are superb examples of these gentlemen's abilities. I particularly enjoy Michael O'Brien's vocals and would hope he'd make some more solo collections soon. But as ministers of their faith by song, Newsong is still one of the best.

I remember as a teenager, Newsong came to our very small, very new church in a small town north west of Dallas. They played their hearts out for us and I since have worn out their debut album (wish i could find one to replace it!). I was so pleased to see The Christmas Shoes get such a fabulous response from the mainstream radio stations. Even now, 17 years later, they sound just as great and the message is still as strong. We truely are blessed with God's Love.

I lost my dad last week, so close to christmas.. just hearing the words of this song makes me picture in my mind my dad is up there.. with Jesus, not suffering any more with Cancer..this song just makes you realize WHO is important, not what things we "get" for christmas... we should just show and TELL the ones we love how we feel..... before it's too late...
