This lamp, while very pretty, is a piece of junk. I used it to read in bed and would swing the arm over the bed to read, and swing it back to go to sleep. Within ONE month of owning it, the top arm portion detached from the base - stripped from its screw grooves and impossible to reattach. No amount of glue, tape or what have you would fix it. I think if you want something more durable, look elsewhere.

I liked the looks of this lamp but after a couple of months it started to break at the seam where you screw the two poles together. It couldn't be fixed so I threw it out. Also, didn't realize it had a foot control for the light. I would have liked the traditional up near the top better for easier access.

This lamp is really cute, but not practical. It is smaller than it looks, and the shade is very cheap plastic material. The most important thing is that the shade makes your whole room RED. Do not use this as the only light source in the room unless you like living in a fire like atmosphere! I returned it.

The lines of this lamp are very nice, and the light emitted is subtle and soft. I had the same experience as the previous poster of it coming apart at the seems where it is screwed together. It eventually stayed put with some super glue but every time I moved it it fell apart before.

Very pretty, but MUCH shorter than I thought it would be...check out the diminsions before you buy!

This lamps brings such a nice accent to any room. It's great for when you have that special person over.The Mica covered shade gives out a beautiful amber, which can offer a very romantic evening.
You also can relax after a hard days work,just sit back and enjoy the lovely atmospere of this Mica Shepard Floor Lamp. It's very versatile in any room and adds beautiful accents where ever it stand. Also,This lamp is a great converstation piece.

I'm very satisfied with this floor lamp. The light is a warm glow. It seems to stand level. I've noted in other reviews that some buyers have had problems with the shade, but mine seems to be fine.

This lamp is a beautiful, warm, addition to my bedroom. I love the sleek style and its simple elegance. The only thing I might mention is that it isn't as bright as I expected. It is perfect for mood lighting, but don't expect it to light an entire room. I bought two of them and the accent lamp and the three lights together provide just enough light for my bedroom.

I purchased this lamp for my bedside. I liked the look of it, and thought it would bring together the colors of my bedroom as well as create a softer look. Well, I was right on all counts! It is absolutely GORGEOUS and looks much more expensive than it is! Assembly took less than five minutes and the foot-pedal on/off switch is like an added bonus! It is truly fabulous and I will probably purchase another one (as soon as I figure out where to put it :-) !!!

Even though the lamp was packed really well, the shade was smashed in when I unwrapped it. My return and refund were processed quickly so that at least was good.
