I bought this and Robert Kochis' other CD ("May Angels Welcome You") with some trepidation. I've been listening to most of these songs at Mass since I was a child. I've heard some absolutely heavenly renditions, and some really awful versions.

I'm delighted to say that this CD (as is "May Angels Welcome You") is excellent. I'm so pleased (and a little relieved!) with the quality of the CD, with the gentleness of the music and vocals, and the harmonies presented by Robert and Robin Kochis. All of the songs are easy to sing along with, and there's no showmanship here.

Whether you're Catholic or Protestant, if you're looking for gentle, yet powerful inspirational Christian music, I highly recommend this CD.

This album is one of my favorite. Robert's gentle voice is in perfect harmony with cello in "Shepherd Me, O God." Then, Robin's sweet voice is like flute. Their voices make such a beautiful harmony. Thought, I am not Christian, it does not matter. Their music relax our mind.
Also, Robin's voice is just like "mother." Her voice is very gentle and sweet, but sometimes very strong. It is just like "mother." Mothers are always so gentle, but sometimes very strong. "Higher Ground" & "El Shaddei" are also my favorites.
I am sure that their music make us happier and relax. I hope I could write this review in my own language, Japanese, so that I could tell everyone more about their music....
