Great Collection,
By Helen Houghton (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sherbet Collection (Audio CD)
I love the 1976 version of 'You've got the Gun'. I also like the fairly obscure B side of 'Summer Love','You go your way I'll go mine.' I love Daryl's solo song 'Old Sid', a favourite since I first heard it in 1976. Others I like were, 'Rock Me Gently', 'Matter of Time' and 'Child's Play.'

All encompassing UK music fan - Listz to Leppard,
By Glyn Davies (UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sherbet Collection (Audio CD)
Sherbet have been labelled 'one hit wonders' here in the UK but that is not strictly true. This CD contains the prime track 'Howzat' and the follow up lesser hit, 'If I Had My Way'. 'Howzat' really is a true classic dating from '76 and sounds better than ever 24 years later, legacy of CD ( ie. digital ). Someone, somewhere should compile a collection of what could be labelled 'sporadic hits'. I can't believe I've only just bought this - if you're over 30, buy this CD and revel.

some nice songs.,

Sherbet in their "soft rock" phase have some nice songs here, except for "childs play" which is awful and should never have been a single. However "you've got the gun","time" and "if I had my way" make up for it.I think that "cassandra" was their best song.
