This was a gift for my boyfriend, a big Sherlock Holmes' fan. I didnt' want to spend a bundle, but I didn't want a poor-quality hat, either. This hat was reasonably priced and pretty good quality, though the seam binding inside the hat just below the ear flaps could've been better sewn. The fabric is a good weight and not at all flimsy. The fit is good, even on a relatively large head. Service from this seller was fast and without any problems.

I went for this hat because I wanted a cap for my Holmes costume that looked a little nicer than the cheapie 5-dollar costume deerstalkers. This didn't disappoint. It's still a costume hat, I would say, not an actual, real, wear-it-everyday hat (you can see the seams and so forth on the inside are not perfect looking, for example, but this doesn't impact the look of the hat). But it's a very nice costume hat. The material is nice and thick and has the right feel and look. It fits a bit snugly on my head, but I actually have no idea as to my head measurements, so perhaps I fall slightly outside the one-size-fits-most range. Overall I am very pleased with it.
