I love adventure games and detective stories, but this game was boring for me. The story is somewhat interesting, but the puzzles are pathetic for an advanced player... However, if you are a beginner in adventure games, you might like it.
Major thing I didn't like about this game was that you have to do the same things again and again, like studying every painting in the museum, and then coming back and studying them again for a different purpose, or running back and forth to the library 10 times to find different books with notes, hoping that this would be the last one... Seemed like the creators of this game tried to make it long without making it complicated.
The game also lacks common sence at times. For exemple, it was obvious, that someone could be hiding in the big box in the museum's hall, and in real life you would definetly take a pick in it, but the game doesn't let you to... And of course, later you find out that someone was hiding in that big box!! ))) Or the episode where Doctor Watson gives a key to the museum to some suspisious-looking journalist! He wasn't THAT dumb in the book!!
Also, why different characters look the same??? Was it hard to paint different faces??
I must admit though, that the graphics in this game is supurb - best I've ever seen. I loved to walk around good old London!! If you look around you see trees moving in the wind, or fog coming in at night.. And the ability to move constantly through the surroundings and walk any direction really creates a very realistic feeling! All thumbs up for that!!! This is some new technology I haven't seen in other games yet.
Honestly, graphics, my love of London and Sherlock Holmes and a very few interesting episodes are the only reasons this game received 3 stars from me.

This is a great game but if you have played S.H. Nemesis than you have played this game. They are one and the same. That doesn't take away from the game but be warned it's just retitled.
