Brilliant book.

There's so much to look at through the many cases that John and Sherlock have worked on. It's simply not a one-page explanation, either; each case spans several pages with many post-it note additions from Sherlock. Their bantering via the post-it notes is simply hilarious and completely in character.

As well as case notes, there is several pages dedicated to the real life of Sherlock Holmes- Jeremy Brett, Basil Rathbone, even Hugh Laurie as House- 'interviews' with the cast, information on ACD, etc. Especially interesting to learn all of the little references that Moffat and Gatiss used to bring the original canon into the series.

I highly recommend this book for any Sherlocked fan. The final entry from John brings back all the feels that Reichenbach gave to us to begin with, and a final post-it note from Sherlock is nearly nostalgic. Overall, a wonderful Sherlockian find.

My 15 year old daughter and I are huge fans of Sherlock so I saw this book and bought her a copy. This is a great book! Very funny! It is written like it is John Watsons scrapbook and there are post it notes throughout from Sherlock and John! Gives some interesting insights to the episodes! We love it!

This book is so much better than I expected. Anyone saying to not buy this book is simply mad. Not only does it have some very cute bantering between John and Sherlock on post it notes but it really puts you in the mind of Moffat and Gattis. Tons of behind the scenes fun facts and very in detail. Although the whole case file of The Reichenbach Fall had me in tears. Love this book and am do very very glad that I purchased it.

Well...I wish I hadn't spent the money, only to find out that this is the Sherlock "Casebook", just with a different title. But seeing as I had the Casebook first, I can say that if you don't have that, then this is a GREAT companion to the series. And the little post it notes give a great little peek at Sherlock and John's off screen relationship.

For a self-confessed Sherlock fan, able to watch the six shows multiple times, this is a treat.
Little "notes" between Holmes and Watson add a touch of humor.
Lots and lots of photographs in full color make for eye appeal.
Each show is covered. There is a general write up, ties back to the books, considerations to modernize and incidents from filming.
Between the shows are sections on the writers, the actors and some history of the books and films.
Presentation is a combination of written and scrapbook type notes.
Oddly it works. This is a fun and informative look at the people and the show.

I've been a very dedicated fan of the Sherlock series for a while and I purchased The Casebook. I can sincerely say that it's a great buy.

It goes over the first two series. In each chapter there's a scrapbook like section in character which are typically quite amusing. And there is extensive input from the writers of the show on their thoughts, what inspired them and what they took from the real stories and how they turned it into what you have in the BBC Series.

I absolutely loved it. Flip through it now and then. There's a lot of insight and little things and facts fans might be interested in knowing.

We discovered "Sherlock" quite recently and can't wait for Season 3 to air. This companion book is beautifully produced and full of interesting pieces about the new show-plots, stars, background-and the canonical texts and previous interpretations. Aside from the many luscious pictures of current It-boy Benedict Cumberbatch, the book tells the very tragic story of my other favorite Sherlock portrayer, Jeremy Brett, and has lots of material on the new show's references to the original stories .
