Purchased for travel with my Scottie. Fit perfectly infront of airline seat. My Scott is about 15 pounds and the medium size fits her well (she can turn around inside of it). When were traveling in the car, you'll find her either napping inside or sitting on top of the bag to give her more height to look out the window. Great bag!

We used this to take our baby on the his first flight, and he did great. He LOVES the wool inside lining, and constantly sleeps in it while we're away even when he has other places to choose.

My girl loves going out with her tiny dog.

Her dog enjoys the view from the carrier and they're both happy, what more can you ask for.

I recommend this.

This is a wonderful pet carrier. The strap is very helpful for carrying around my cat at the airport. It collapses for easy storage, and it has a back pocket that actually holds quite a bit. Also, my cat loves it. You would think that after an entire day of being in the carrier he would hate it but it is now his favorite play/sleep spot.
The only thing I don't like about this carrier are the inside supports. They are metal/plastic rods going through the top of the carrier to keep it upright and they go into this little pouch on the inside of the carrier. These rods allow for the collapse of the carrier for easy storage. My cat has found a way to get them out of their secure location and munch on them. This then makes the entire carrier collapse on him. It's an easy fix, but a little annoying.
Other than that, the carrier is wonderful, it is a little bigger than the airline requirements but I didn't have any problems with it.
Overall, I'd recommend this carrier to anyone wanting to take their pet anywhere.

I take my cats to Spain for the summer. Two flights and a total of 18 hours in their travel bags. The size is airline acceptable. This is a comfortable, (so it appears to me!) padded carrier. The removable soft flooring keeps Anthony cozy. The mesh windows allow me to look in on him on the floor at my feet. I periodically unzip the top hatch a little to stick my reassuring hand in for a head pat. Both cats hold their needs until destination, then run for the cat box. Oh, yes, and I had custom designed travel jackets made for the boyz by a woman in Vancouver--harnasses with velcro closures, matching leads for that moment during security check when cat comes out of the bag and could bolt. Sherpa bag is great. Traveling with your cat--PRICELESS!!! (But they do have to pay!)

I bought the red Original Sherpa pet carrier about two years ago because I wanted a secure, well ventilated and comfortable carrier for my cat. I have not used it for air travel yet, but I do carry her in the car, back and forth to the vet, etc. and she is comfortable and can be put in from the top or from the front. Strong strap and pouch for papers. I use the interior clip ring for her tags. I just acquired another cat and bought a blue carrier for her.

I ordered this in preparation for a cross country move where the cats will need to fly. We haven't moved yet - but I've been training my cats to get used to it with regular drives. Both my 8 pound and 12 pound cat fit in the medium-sized carrier just fine (not at the same time - one at a time!), so I plan to buy another for when we make the final move and they both need their own carrier.
One of the kitties has gotten car sick in the carrier on a longer drive and the fleece pad detached and washed off easily. It looks as good as new!
I especially like the zip top, which provides another option for getting the cat into the carrier. (Sometimes it's easier to place them in from the top than to shove them forward from the usual opening.)

This is a great bag, however I was unable to get it in red, so someone contacted me and offered me the available colors. She was very helpful in trying to find a solution and getting my shipment as quick as possible. I have a Bichon Frise, she is on the bigger side, so she fits a little tight, but she loves the carrier. I've flown about 4-5 hr flights and she was really quiet.Be aware to consider check-in time, flight delay,etc. So any chance to let them get some air, before the actual flight, is good. There's alot of space for all her goodies, treats, wipes( good to have while traveling just in case),etc. Also, it doesnt fit quite well under JetBlue flights, you have to push it under a bit, but I also traveled with Delta and there was plenty of space!

This is the 2nd carrier that I have owned for my Havanese and it is THE BEST. It's sturdy, well ventilated and the perfect size. Love the top "door" where he can stick his head out or I can drop treats in without him escaping! Would recommend this highly.

The medium sized bags were great in quality and color, though I decided my Maltese and Maltapoo didn't need that large a bag and traded them in on the small size. Amazon beat every one else's price by $10-$20.
