I bought this to transport an 8 week old Samoyed puppy on an airplane. She was about 8 lbs when we traveled and maybe it's because her coat makes her look bulky, but she was just able to fit in the bag laying down and standing. There wasn't room to put anything in it but her and one toy. She labored a little to turn around in it, but she was able to do it. This bag fit under the seat nicely but there is no extra room. The plane was American Airlines. It will butt up against the bar for the seat in front of you and against your shoes. It's a nice looking bag and the dog seemed comfortable. She slept in it the entire 2 flights (we had a layover) without a peep or whine or anything. And no, she was not under any kinds of meds. The bag was that comfortable for her.

Don't rely on the weight to measure whether your dog will fit in it. Measure the dog's dimensions because while my 8 lb large breed dog couldn't fit in it anymore when she was 12 lbs, I can fit my 4 lb toy breed dog in there fine with probably 4-6 of his friends.

Nice bag for travel. It does the job.

I purchased this Sherpa Duffle Carrier to transport my two teacup Yorkies around town and to the groomer. One is 4.8 pounds and the other 5.1 pounds. They fit in the duffle easily and make car trips for me less stressful and safer. They do not cry in the duffle and usually fall asleep. The Duffle is well made and attractive and we love it.

I love this bag for a few reasons: style, design, and the fact that I can't keep my dog out of it. I literally opened up the box and he jumped right in. I even have to hang it up while not in use to keep him and my cats out of it! Too funny.

This product is amazing. I used it for my cat's first airplane ride. I received it 2 wks before our trip so my cat could get comfortable with it. The inside is spacious and comfortable. There's an outside pocket that is big enough to store paperwork, treats, a bottle of catnip spray, etc. There's a double mesh on the back side. I was able to put catnip in a sock for her and leave it in the protection of the double mesh so if my cat had an accident inside the carrier, the sock and catnip would not get wet. My cat slept soundly and comfortably in her Sherpa Duffle Carrier for two long plane rides. I think she feels very safe in it. I had no problems with getting my cat on the plane. I've heard horror stories of people having to take a cab to the nearest pet store to get the right carrier size for their pet. All airlines accept Sherpa with no question.

I have a small dog & was looking for a compact & easy carrier that would fit on my front floor board in my car. This is it! My dog loves the carrier & will sleep in it when I have it just sitting in my room. It's easy to carry & take every where. It folds up for easy storage. It's perfect for me & my 6 lb. dog. I don't see a 20 lb dog fitting in this carrier. I think it would be too small.

I love this case my two wee chihuahuas fit comfortably and cuddle up in it all the time. I leave it open as a "private" place so they got used to it before we travelled the first time.

This item was so well priced and the quality was perfect. Shipping was punctual. what more could you ask for.

My full grown 'pup' is about 9 pounds. She's got enough room in here to feel cozy and secure and she's content to crawl in when she knows she's going in the car. Well made and sturdy and attractive. This is a bag that looks so good, like upscale luggage... and is totally functional and well made. Love it.

I bought this product for my medium sized cat (although it is a small dog carrier) and I absolutely love it. It is very cute, sturdy and my cat doesn't get completely spooked by it like he does with other carriers. I would definitely recommend this product. The carrier comes with a warranty, and in very nice packaging. Unlike other carriers where people have mentioned their animal scratching out of the mesh windows, this has double layered mesh. I am surprised by the quality for the price.

Pros:
1. a spacious inner space
2. a good size pocket
3. Plenty of net-like "windows" for your pet to look outside and have fresh air
4. Price is much cheaper than many other carriers

Cons:
1. made out of cheap material (bag tag, zipper tags, the bedding inside)
2. the colors are much darker than the image (khaki=lighter brown, red=burgundy)
3. Flimsier than the picture
4. Cannot carry the bag on the shoulder (b/c the carrier itself gets in the way)


I wanted an airline approved carrier that is durable yet fashionable. However, if you are looking for something decent and special, this is not the one.

I did not use this carrier at all and returned the item today.
