please note this bag is the orginal deluxe carrier in the color navy blue. please measure your pet. Take tape measure and for length measure from the nape of the neck collar area to base of the tail. this is your length basically the trunk of the pet without the tail or head. for height measure from floor to top of shoulder while pet is standing. all sherpa bags come with one years manufacter's warranty from date of purchase. you can contact the manufacteur direct for warranty issues. This carrier is airline approved please check with your airline as they all have size requirements that are different depending on airline. This bag has mesh panels for ventilation. top and side entry. fits comfortable under most airline seats, includes convenient shoulder strap. actual bag dimensions from outside are 20" D x 11.75" w x 11.5 Height. bag weight byself is 3.2 pounds. for pets up to 22lbs but please measure your pet all pets are different sizes and may not fit in the bag so weight is secondary measurement to actually measuring your pet. please we discourage returns on pets carriers for hygiene reasons and cost of shipping that is incurred.

Great for airplanes - but could be too big,

This is a well-made carrier, and is the biggest one I could find that was suitable for in-cabin airplane travel. It's actually 1-2 inches too tall to fit under the seat on a 737, but because it is flexible you can make it fit. Be aware that the size doesn't meet the letter of the law for most airlines, so you may get stopped. However, this has only happened to me a couple of times, and both times I was able to talk my way out of it.

During my recent job change/relocation I moved six cats, and the Sherpa Bag was invaluable. It is roomy and open so my cats traveled with a far lesser degree of fear. The Sherpa Bag is well designed and strongly constructed. If you need to transport your cats this is the bag for you.

I purchased one of these to transport a 2-month-old lab puppy from Ohio to Montana. I was concerned about his comfort and its durability for a puppy who would rather be unrestrained. It worked beautifully. When I put the puppy in from the top and started zipping, he would lie down to see out the screen sides. He felt both comfortable and safe inside and never made a sound during the flights! He was good about coming out for the metal detector carry-through, then going back inside once we went through security. I am glad I purchased this bag and that it was sturdy enough to withstand his scratching when he first fought to try to get out. Now the puppy runs into this bag for some quiet time, although he probably won't fit into it for too much longer!
