I was worried this carrier might be a little small for my 8 lb. adult cat, but he is very comfortable in it. My vet said that most people err on the side of carriers that are too large, and that cats actually tend to like smaller spaces because they feel more secure in them. In any case, Truman is able to turn around, and he relaxes nicely when he's in the carrier.

It's not a struggle to get him in, and taking him out is a cinch too, since one of the panels unzips entirely to lie flush with the floor. There's a nice furry pad in there, and the mesh allows the animal to see out as it likes. A small zipped pocket can hold a brush and a ziploc of food or some favourite toys.

This carrier arrived on time, well packaged and as described. It is extremely well made, a good deal for its price and easy to carry as back back. One of my two cats who used to put up homeric fights to get in her old one, then wailed all the way to the vet, now goes in by herself and is most of the time silent. The other cat who is mellow appreciates it as well.
Recommend both carrier and Petco, for their products and customer care.

I must say, I was willing to pay this amount because I thought I was getting a better quality item. After a only a few weeks, this bag caved in and my puppy would no longer go into it. I tried several times and ways to fix it, but it would not stay up.
I contacted the company and they told me to "stuff it with wet towels and spray it heavily with starch..." are they kidding? Then I found a reference to this problem under their web site FAQ's. So, they are knowingly selling a defective item and expecting the customer to then fix it. They never responded to my second email... I could not return it because it had been used.

This is a company that does NOT stand behind it's products. I found a much less expensive one at target, and it works much better!

Do not waste the extra $ on this item.

This is one of the best soft sided carriers you can buy. I had one that was larger, but cats like to be a bit more confined and so I broke down and bought the smaller version. I have a 12 pound kitty who likes the carrier although I bought it for the smaller girls. Therefore...weight seems not to be an issue with cats.. One feature that changed over the years was the opening in the top of the carrier. It is now easier to put an animal in and take out than ever before. The carrier also is a bit more sturdier than previous carriers made by this company...a great feature as it never caves in on itself as a result. All in all this is a great carrier...the cats love it and so do I.

Bought this carrier for a Southwest Airlines trip with a cat. It fit under their 8.25" seats very well. There were no problems at all. I like that there were two points of entry and exit (top and end). I used the top entry and had no problems lowering the cat into the bag.

This is the best quality carrier I have ever seen...perfect for comfort of your pet and ease of travel! I traveled from Florida to NYC and took this as a carry on and it was just perfect..easy to access your pet, easy to carry and super comfortable for your pet!

I purchased a kitten and had to transport him back to my home. This carrier is very pet and owner friendly. If you need to travel by plane it is approved by all airlines. It accepts a seat belt easily for car transport.My kitty loves the sherpa lining and often just hangs out in the carrier to rest or play. It is a good purchase.

I had my bag for about 1.5 yrs and it is a great product initially, but the zipper is not that resistant. I used it on average a couple of times a week (sometimes not even) and about a couple of months ago I noticed one of the zippers (the one I used the most) is now starting to get stuck. The bag is very well made otherwise and looks good. It is masculine enough for a guy and perfect for airline traveling... I just wish that zipper was better.

I do like this carrier for the most part but when our cat was hit by a car we put him in the carrier to keep him as still as possible. He actually rolled it once and the lining came out from under him. There is no solid base under the lining pad so it was very difficult to keep the pad under him in his agitated state. I was never a fan of hard carriers before but a firmer base would have spared him some pain in this situation.

Exactly what I was looking for. The sherpa pad at the bottom is soft and comfortable enough for my puppy to fall asleep on. Like the fact that there's a side and top opening. Sturdy and serves its purpose. My little yorkie is excited everytime I pull the carrier out and is ready to run in once I place it down. For a puppy that is petrified of going out of the apartment, that's quite the feat.
