Sherrybaby is a great movie and has an excellent soundtrack. The most prominent musician on this album is Dana Fuchs. She does a song called "When I Find My Life" over the closing credits that really got my attention. It's a brooding, ruminative number that is a perfect finish for this movie about a young woman struggling with addiction. Fuchs's voice, like the song's writer Marianne Faithfull, is a smoky baritone, and her soulful delivery is intensely real. She also does four other songs on the album that are similarly powerful. Another good song is "Bully" by Michelle Featherstone, but the five by Fuchs make this a cd well worth having.

This track by Dana Fuchs should have been submitted to the Academy Awards for best song because it is a classic. I hope it sees the light of day at some point.

Keep an eye on Dana Fuchs, this soundtrack only scratches the surface of her talent. Pick up one of her CDs or DVD and experience her raw and real performance.

Just three days ago I watched, for the very first time the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus and last night I watched Sherry Baby. You sang a beautiful song in the "circus" and you wrote the final song for Sherry Baby. I feel your presence in my daily life now. I have been touched by you and I thank you! You have been where many have not returned from, what is your secret???
