This thing is chock-full-of-features, perhaps to the negative because it makes it all very complicated for someone who just wants to plug it in and rock the house. But if you take your time, you will appreciate the fact that these extra options allow for more flexibility when it comes to working in a heterogeneous electronic home environment. I have a mixed bag of blueray, X-Box, Wii, Dish Network, etc. components - so it took a while to set it up correctly. The easiest way to get all these working is to run all your video components to your TV (HDMI preferred) and then HDMI and Optical (audio) out to your amp (i.e. "video 1" channel) - though I make no claim that it's the right way :). I would recommend this amp to a friend, but warn them that the remote/feature set is complex. It's a great low-cost model for someone who wants all the features/connection options...

I bought this since it has 3 HDMI inputs. I can then output to my TV via the 1 HDMI output.

It has inputs galore. No shortage of devices can be plugged in.

Instructions and remote are the "stereo"typical stereo instructions. Very technical.

Sound is fine. I have it hooked up to surround sound. I have a Apple TV (hdmi), cable box (hdmi), LG Blu-ray/netflix player (hdmi and optical) hooked up to it. It allows for only 3 video inputs.

The only issue I had was with the LG Blu-Ray/neflix player. Netflix audio did not stream over HDMI. I connected an optical cable and configured the receiver and player to use optical. Problem solved.

Uses about 40 watts on standby, which isn't much of a power savings feature. I just turn it off. The "soft" off button is standby. You have to get up and push a button in/out to turn it completely off.

rated as 100 watts per channel. Running 5.1 polk 50 watt speakers. Music high volume no distortion, adjustable treb - bass(I mean high volume). Surround works great but you are going to have to find which one of the preset levels works best.

Mentioned in other reviews but Receiver to TV OPTICAL FIBER connection ($25 radio shack) run components to receiver HDMI. Running TV, Blue Ray, XBOX, Wii, DVR, cable.
