Product Description

Remote Controlled Stereo Receiver. Our case in point: the new RX-4105. It's actually an update of our market leading RX-4100/4103. rated at 100 watts, we've reduced distortion significantly. It's now less than 0.20% from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and we've improved the reliability with a new layout borrowed from our higher end models. The RX-4105 has a good AM/FM tuner with the ability to pre-set up to 30 favorite stations. It has inputs for 4 audio sources to accommodate your sound gear. And the sound is phenomenal ? as you'd expect from a company that dates its own existence to before stereo's birth. And the RX-4105 has at least one unexpected grace: the ability to independently select up to two sets of loudspeakers via the supplied remote control. (Audio purists will be pleased to know that this relay-controlled switching puts the speakers in parallel, maintaining their individual sound qualities.)

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Sound for the Price, January 5, 2008
Sherwood has been designing low cost, high value audio components for about as long as there has been HiFi. Recently, I purchased a Sherwood RX-4109 receiver...designed in the USA an manufactured somewhere East Of Eden...for my exercise room when an integrated amplifier from my college days finally gave up the ghost. An inexpensive multi-format DVD player is the signal source and the Sherwood is hooked to a competent pair of bookshelf speakers. The RX-4109 kicks out enough decent sound to compete with my Nordic Track and sounds better than I expected it to. If you're looking for exceptional value and good sound, the RX-4109 will not disappoint. It is a genuine bargain.

4.0 out of 5 stars Forget the records, January 20, 2012
This review is from: Sherwood Remote Controlled Stereo Receiver RX-4105 (Electronics)
This is probably the best bang for the buck with the exception that you will not be hooking up your turntable to it as there is no connector or preamp for a turntable. Sherwood thought vinyl was obsolete but it isn't for the one who wants to remember the oldies without having to buy his collection in CDs or buying a separate preamp.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this receiver, September 25, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sherwood Remote Controlled Stereo Receiver RX-4105 (Electronics)
I would be embarrassed if I was Sherwood. I had a crystal set when I was a kid that sounded better.I bought a Pyle-2x75 watts for $50.00 that sounds much cleaner than this thing. I understand you get what you pay for but someone should pay me to listen to this garbage machine. I wouldn't use this receiver for a paperweight. Because of this experience I will never buy a Sherwood product.
