5.0 out of 5 stars Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love) deserves to blow up big!
"Blowin Me Up (With Her Love)" is the standout song from the "Drumline" soundtrack. The Prince-like vocals are wonderful and really show off JC's range, versatility and power. The breakdown of the song is very creative and fun. The song will have you bobbing your head and tapping you feet. It's very infectious and the hook burns itself into your brain...

3.0 out of 5 stars left me wanting more
While I love this song, I wanted to hear more, why only 2 tracks, why did I have to wait months for 2 tracks??? Couldn't
find it in stores had to order on line.

You'll find yourself singing along after a couple of listens. It doesn't sound like anything out there right now. In my opinion, it's not only the best solo song from any of the "boyband" singers, it's also one of the best songs out right now. JC should be proud of this song and I can't wait for his solo album in July.

5.0 out of 5 stars JC raises the standard...., April 26, 2003

michael gygax (Stockton, CA, USA) - See all my reviews
"Blowin' Me Up (With Her Love)", the "Drumline" soundtrack single release, is a bold, fun, creative and innovative introduction that unquestionably defines JC's new role as a solo artist. Raising the standard for music today BMU offers listeners an original sound that stretches beyond the mainstream. JC presents the listeners with powerful vocals that add to the energy of the song intertwined with intense hooks, attention-grabbing change-ups, and vivid lyrics BMU is a worthwhile spin.
Look for JC's solo debut album coming Summer 2003!

5.0 out of 5 stars Blowin Me Away!, October 27, 2003
By A Customer
Extremely catchy and lots of fun, "Blowin Me Up" blew me away with its driving rhythms, unusual musical structure and its undeniably playful yet dirty...appeal. The song is both original and yet reminiscent of Prince and Queen in the harmonies.

It's unlike anything else on the radio and certainly different from any thing that JC Chasez has done with Nsync which will surprise Nsync fans and non Nsync fans alike and certainly surprised me, but displays the artist's evolving songwriting talents.

A great song and I am certainly looking forward to his solo debut album out next year which is sure to be as unique as the artist.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Man Can Sing, December 10, 2003
With pipes like his, JC Chasez of *Nsync is by far the strongest singer in the group. Just thinking of him as "one of the guys from *NSNYC" is a drastic understatement of this man's talent. Not only can his sing to the likes of Brian McKnight, but he like Brian, he writes most of his music. He's even known for writing and co-writing some of *NSYNC's biggest hits. I am awaiting his upcoming CD because he's just as talented and good looking as his bandmate Justin Timberlake. Who know's maybe more. This single is just a preview of what's to come and it's all grown-up.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice vocal harmonies with a tribal drumline.., April 7, 2003
This is a tough song to rate. The lyrics and song structure are slapping simple, but the vocal melodies and bass line are well structured. The instrumental bridge doesn't really fit the song, but everything else goes together nicely.

JC Chasez, formerly the vocal lead of N'SYNC with Justin Timberlake, has a great single on his hands. I wasn't expecting a "hip-hop" type song because of his silky smooth vocals, but I'm happy with it. I'm looking forward to his official album - should be good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, December 30, 2003
When hearing the song the first time, i wasn't too impressed by the shouting and moaning. The song, however, was well-written and I soon found it on repeat. This is probably one of the better songs the singer has written, showing that he has matured from the innocent pop sound of NSYNC. I expect to hear more and better things JC. From what I have already heard, including this song, it is better than his bandmate's CD: Justified. I look forward to the release of Schizophrenic and expect it should do well in sales.

5.0 out of 5 stars An underrated gem, January 22, 2004
By A Customer
First, let me preface this by saying that I wasn't a Nsync fan and I had no idea who JC Chasez was when I heard the vastly underrated "Blowin Me Up", but I've become an unabashed fan since.

JC is an adventurous songwriter with an intriguing way of putting his songs together, making them going go directions that I wouldn't necessarily expect and yet making it work. It's an admirable trait especially in today's often calculating music industry.

From his stellar collaborations with BT and the Basement Jaxx and the first single ("Some Girls") from his upcoming album, it's obvious that he isn't afraid to explore and take risks with his music. It's also clear that he possesses a talent that is both versatile and undeniable.

I'd never thought I'd say this with my former boyband prejudices, but I can't wait for his solo album to see what he's got up his sleeve. It's certain to be something unexpected, but something very special.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Underrated Smash!, August 21, 2003

I am one of the biggest *NSYNC fans on the planet but even if you don't like *NSYNC, you can't NOT love this song! JC, my favorite *NSYNC member did an amazing job with this hit! I can't wait for his album! This song should have done a lot better than it did...it did do good, but I think it was worthy of getting #1 on the charts, which it unfortunately never did. JC's voice is amazing, his songwriting skills are unbelievable, and when his new stuff comes out, he's gonna surprise a lot of people. I'm so proud of him for trying out the solo thing. He's doing incredible and I'd wish him all the luck in the world, but he doesn't need it! He will definitely earn the recognition he deserves very soon!
