Product Description

It's time for more Trouble!

Award-winning author Leslie Kelly returns to her quirky little town of Trouble, PA for more zany, sexy fun. This time, Mortimer Potts's super-sexy youngest grandson is about to be brought down by true love.

When New York cop Mike Taylor arrives in Trouble, the last thing he expects to find is a gorgeous woman trudging up the road...barefoot, armed, and threatening murder.

Her targets? Her two elderly aunts: the deliciously wicked Feeney sisters.

Jen Feeney has had enough of men, and, after her latest bestselling book, "Why Arsenic Is Better Than Divorce" they seem leery of her, too! But tough guy Mike Taylor isn't fooled by her prickly exterior. And the hotter-than-sin cop soon has her reconsidering her no-romance policy.

But Jen's no ordinary female...she comes from a long line of deadly women. And when a little murder comes between them, Mike has to decide: solve the case, or get the girl?

From the Back Cover

Mike Taylor was one SORRY New York cop.

If only he'd taken another route to Trouble, Pennsylvania. Then he'd never have rescued a tire-iron-toting, drop-dead-gorgeous woman whose crazy aunts had stolen her shoes and keys and left her more than a little pissed off. There was no way he was ready to get involved with someone like Jennifer, let alone the decades-old murder case swirling around her nutty family!

But writer Jennifer Feeney was one provocative package. And her latest bestseller had stirred up a whole lot of trouble. Which meant that, between rescuing her again and again, Mike had fallen for her, big-time. Just the way he'd promised himself he wouldn't.

Now it looks as if her family's past is going to catch up with both of them, and it's time for Mike to choose-- solve the case...or get the girl.

5.0 out of 5 stars entertaining contemporary romantic suspense, July 6, 2007
Trouble, Pennsylvania town owner wealthy octogenarian Mortimer Potts loves his grandsons, but is particularly concerned that Michael is becoming cold due to his work as a New York City police officer. He thinks Mike needs a woman who will warm him up when the job turns unbearable. He selects author Jennifer Feeney in spite of her damaged ancestry; her aunts are the eccentrically crazy Ida Mae and Ivy.

When Mike comes to see his grandfather, he "accidentally" meets Jennifer, who is in town from New York visiting family. Sparks fly between them and continues to ignite even when they return to the city. As a stalker harasses Jen, Mike tries to keep her safe even as they become lovers. However, although she loves her protective cop, she wonders how a relationship can last between a macho take charge cop and an unfettered writer.

From the moment they meet when she tries to hit him with a tire iron and he knew he found trouble in Trouble, readers are hooked. The story line is fast-paced as Mike falls in love while rescuing his beloved several times and becoming embroiled in her lunatic aunts' "ancient history" homicide mystery. As with HERE COMES TROUBLE, the cast is eccentric, the romance is fun and the whodunit is delightful as Leslie Kelly provides an entertaining contemporary romantic suspense.

5.0 out of 5 stars She's No Angel, June 27, 2007
Michael Taylor is visiting his grandfather, Mortimer Potts, in the very small town of Trouble, Pennsylvania, when he sees the beautiful Jennifer Feeney walking barefoot on the side of the road. He discovers that Jen is currently engaged in a battle with her crazy aunts Ivy and Ida Mae. Mike gives her a ride, but after dropping her off, he can't get her out of his mind.

Mike is a New York City detective. Jen writes self-help books for women. Mike doesn't want anyone unpredictable or unstable in his life and Jen's crazy antics make her the type of woman he wants to avoid, but he can't seem to stay away from her. Jen may not want a protector, but she does want Mike. Even with one mystery after another surrounding them, Jen and Mike's romance may be too hot to stop.

She's No Angel takes an incredibly sexy guy and a tough, beautiful woman and combines their sexy romance with some zany family members and a few mysteries. She's No Angel is an entertaining, suspenseful and fun story. Here Comes Trouble told the story of Max Taylor, and She's No Angel is Mike's. There's one Taylor brother left, and I would love to read about the mysterious and adventurous Morgan Taylor!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hooked by the 1st sentence !!!!, August 29, 2007
Leslie Kelly hooked me on the first sentence and by the end of the page I was reeled in. I loved Jennifer Feeney and Mike Taylor as soon as I met them and it only got better as their characters unfolded. I thought it was hilarious that this smart, determined woman kept getting outwitted by two old ladies who didn't seem to any wits between them. And Mike Taylor was the perfect "I'm going to protect you whether you like it or not" cop because he knew just what he could get away with when it came to Jenn and what he couldn't.

The sub-plots were delightful (the one with the butler and the spinster was especially heartwarming) and trying to figure out Aunt Ivy's secret kept me turning the pages as fast as I could read them. (Well, I confess that I slowed down during those steamy love scenes.)

Leslie Kelly's characters jump to life instantly and her plot had just enough twists and turns to keep me wondering without giving anything away. And she has a particular talent with the one-liners which are guaranteed to make you laugh out loud.

Thanks, Leslie Kelly, for the wonderful read!
