Cyndi's First and Best Just Got Even Better!,
By
This review is from: She's So Unusual (Audio CD)
This is an admirable debut from the "unusual one" and very aptly defines musically what was going on in the early 80s and this mini-lp replica sleeve version (mlps) of this album is a real treat for fans. The remastering is okay making the sound quality on this mlps version of the album pretty good.
Given the hefty price tag on this baby in order to justify upgrading from your existing copy, it has got to be a major improvement at least from the aesthetics of the cardboard sleeve and the sound quality. Fortunately, the cardboard sleeve is very well designed and assembled with thicker good quality cardboard which is so well assembled that you don't fear it coming apart when the glue wears out. Also included is an insert with all the lyrics in both Japanese and English and 4 bonus tracks: "Money Changes Everything" (live), "She Bop" (live), "All Through the Night" (live) and "Money Changes Everything" (Summer Sonic '07). The remastered sound quality although not the greatest that I've heard is still pretty good, the excellent mlps design and assembly and Cyndi's best overall consistently good content over the space of an album make this a worthy addition to any music fan's sonic library. Recommended!
