Book Description

August 21, 2007
Prudence Stewart is FINALLY getting her witch on at Agatha's Day School. Sadly, her love life isn't quite so charmed. Boy trouble is lurking, big-time:

• First, there's Angelo, Pru's adorable crush-next-door. When he shows up at Agatha's, it spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E for Pru. Especially when it comes to...

• Samuel, Pru's best bud and tutor in all things magical. For Angelo and Samuel, it was loathe at first sight.

• And then there's Daniel, the bad boy with wicked talent -- who also happensto be the great-great-great-great-grandson of Pru's nemesis, Agatha herself.

With all this boy drama, it's all Pru can do to prep for the national cheerleading competition -- the one that will bring her broomstick-to- spirit-stick with her former squad AND her boy-stealing ex-BFF.

A little magic just might come in handy right now....

About the Author

Kelly McClymer was born in South Carolina, but crossed the Mason-Dixon line to live in Delaware at age six. After one short stint living in South Carolina during junior high, she has remained above the line, and now lives in Maine with her husband and three children.

Writing has been Kelly's passion since her sixth grade essay on how to not bake bread earned her an A plus. After cleaning up the bread dough that oozed on to the floor, she gave up bread making for good and turned to writing as a creative outlet. A graduate of the University of Delaware (English major, of course) she spends her days writing and teaching writing. Look for her next book, The Salem Witch Tryouts, from Simon Pulse in Fall 2006.

More About the Author

Kelly McClymer fell in love with Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White as a child. Her most prized possession is her copy of The Complete Tales of the Brothers Grimm. These are the stories which gripped our ancestors as they huddled around the fire at night, which taught countless children to persevere through hardship and succeed against the odds. Her favorite fairytale remains "The Six Swans" -- where a young sister must not speak a word for six years in order to save her brothers from their stepmother's evil spell.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great comeback to the series., October 19, 2008
This review is from: She's a Witch Girl (Paperback)
Things are finally looking up for Prudence Stewart. She's no longer in remedial magic classes at Agatha's Day School for witches and her cheerleading team realizes what they need to do in order to win a place in the National Cheerleading competition. Winning the competition would mean beating her old high school cheer team and that's just fine for Pru since her crush poaching former BFF has become her enemy.

Too bad Pru's love life isn't quite so charmed and boy trouble is lurking just around the corner. Pru has three guys in her life creating drama: Angelo, the mortal next door - Samuel, the geeky best bud and Daniel, the bad boy who ran away but still holds a connection to Pru. A little magic just might come in handy for Pru right about now.

The magic is back! After an awesome book one and a disappointing but still fun book two, this one has won me back. I loved that there was a story that was believable and kept me turning the pages. Pru brings together her team while solving her own personal problems that make this book very enjoyable. I recommend this to all teens and adults who love YA books.
