If you ever thought you would hear anything like Charlie Bird on strings, here it is. This lady can play! Don't bother trying to keep up with, or try to figure out what she's doing with her fingers, just let your own tap along and experience the irresistable joy that comes with the recognition of pure musical talent.

I first saw Mimi fox on a special on BET a few years ago, and was blown away. I am a fan of jazz guitar, and Mimi is just amazing!

I was excited when I heard this was coming out, as the only other record I had of hers was her Standards record. That is good, but "She's The Woman" is amazing. My favorite track is "East Coast Attitude" - a swinging bopping track that when on, I can't sit still!

If you are a fan of jazz, guitar, or amazing women musicians, this is the disc for you.

WOW! Caught Mimi at the summer music series at Lake Benbow, CA at the end of June, and was amazed at the dexterity and nuance in her playing. You can visualize her live style on this CD--she plays like a child exclaiming upon finding beautiful new flowers in a field--moving between hushed awe and exhuberant joy. Don't miss this rare talent.
