Real Decline From Past Albums,
By Micheal Hunt (Hellbourne) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Shhh Don't Tell (Audio CD)
1. Sid & Alex
This one 2. Pibb Goes Surfing On most of Adams albums, he uses a re-occurring character. However, this one fails big time from a supposed old man who wants to be hip and can't shut up. I'd much preferred the return of Buffoon Guy then this character. 3. The Amazing Willy Wanker This song is some kind of Beatles parody. Psychedelic style of 60's music with a sick twist to it. Not that bad, but not one you'd listen to very often. 4. Gay Robot The neighbors gay robot comes over to visit and watch football, but it's not the foot kind he is after. 5. Pibb Tries The Skateboarding boring as the other one. 6. Creepin' On The Mayor I felt this was funny at first, then you hear the next track as it puts it into song, and think, one or the other is not really needed. 7. The Mayor of Pu**ytown Gangsta Rap song about a guy who hides from the hood, cowers in his basement, and no one messes' with him cause he's a weasel that runs from everything.... not a bad tune. 8. Timmy Tinyhole I think the way this went was, "Hey David Spade, come be on my album, want you to fart, no one laughs, the end" .... David; "No problemo, bro" adam; "Sucker" 9. Pibb Takes The Mexican ATV Tour zzzzzzzzz 10. Wolfman forgetable 11. Secret A song for the gay guys who have a secret that they shave there bush. Could be funny, but I despise techno music, even Adam can't make it funny. 12. The Boss and the Secretary Has it's moments of chuckle worthiness. 13. Best Friend OMG, it's not even techno and sounds gayer then the Secret song! 14. Pibb Needs The Hot Rocks Almost made me laugh, but didnt get there. 15. The Mule Session Interesting version of Summer Time Blues made into a bluegrass number that doesn't want to end. 16. Newlyweds, Sleepyheads This could have been a lot better; a couple are in bed, one is asleep and the other is revealing things about themselves while sleep talking. 17. Calling Home Has a couple of good moments, but runs too long with the bad ones. 18. Mr. I Do and The Doo Doos Wedding song from the groom telling his friends being married is great and he can have sex whenever he wants now.... yeah, you guessed it, forgettable. 19. Whore! Where Are You! The dumbest thing on the whole album. 20. Stan The Man seems to almost be autobiographical of Sandler and his dad... still, not funny.

Let Down,
By A Customer
This review is from: Shhh Don't Tell (Audio CD)
I love Adam Sandler's other CDs. From The Goat to Uncle Donnie his old skits are great. However, this new CD is trash. The content is both immature and downright gross. His other CDs had sexual content and hey I like sex jokes as much as the next man ;) but this cd is just like the crap you talked with your buddies about in 6th grade. I guess it would be funny to a 6th grader. But that's about it. Take your money and buy "What the Hell Happened to Me" or "Stan and Judy's Kid."

3 and a half stars,
By Dr. Philgood (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Shhh Don't Tell (Audio CD)
I wish amazon would allow you to give half stars, because this album is better than a three but not quite a four. The stuff that works is really funny, but unfortunately the stuff that doesn't work really stinks. Rob Schneider is hilarious in "Whore! Where are you!" playing a wanna be tough guy (of undefined ethnicity) who is actually a p-whipped wuss. You may have heard "Gay Robot" which is amusing in a crude, semi-homophobic way. "Sid & Alex" is funny because of the delivery and the sheer peculiarity of it. As far as the songs go, "The Mayor of Pussytown" is a hilarious send up of gangsta rap with a twist, and "Secret" is funny for its absurdly inane chorus. However, much of the rest of the album is uninspired and only mildly amusing, and strangely enough most of the funniest moments come from contributing players and not Sandler himself. If you're a big fan of Sandler's comedy then don't hesitate to pick this up, but "caveat emptor" to all others.

By TG "Psycho" (The Land Of canadian Monkeys) - See all my reviews

This CD is freaking halarious! I laughed a whole bunch. I'm a big Adam Sandler fan and this is the first cd of his that I got. The first time I listened to this cd it disturbed me a little bit. Especially "The Boss And The Secretary." The Best Songs on here are "Secret", "Stan the man", and "Mayor of P***ytown"! And The Mayor song isn't like you may think. It took me by suprise. This CD rules! A highly suggested cd!

Sandler improves for the better!,

I waited since July 13, 2003 to get this album. I waited and waited for what seemed like forever. Now, it's out. And after listening to every song, skit and everything in between I have good news, its amazing!Sid & Alex:I heard this when i bought it through iTunes and its a good opener. It's not as good as Stan and Judy's opener but its still good. -4.5/5 Pibb Goes surfing: Four skits about Mr.Pibb on this album. They never mad me laugh out loud but they were really good. This one is a pretty cool one. -4/5 The amazing Willy Wanker: A good song that's definitly sick and gross but it's got a great tune and a funny accent. A little thick though. -4.5/5 Gay robot: Very, very, very funny and well written. It's definintly my kind of humor. -5/5 Pibb Skateboards: It's pretty funny cause people falling off skakeboarding. -4/5 Creepin on the mayor: Has nothing to do that I can tell with creepin on mayors in the way i thought creepin was. Its about some thugs F**** with the mayor and he hides. Bad stuff happens to him. -4.5/5 The mayor of pu**ytown:Its a rap song about being a pansy. Its hillarious. -5/5 Pibb tour: It's just a little bland and a little too long. -3.5/5 Wolfman: A dad thinks hes a wolfman/dj for old rock music. His son confronts him about his problem and how hes not a wolf. -4.5/5 Secret: Crazy techno song and very funny, awesome lyrics. It's awesome. Awesome, awesome song. Boss and secritary: This is a downer of a track to me. It's not very funny but its a good concept its just gross. 2.5/5 Best Friend: Its a hillarious song if you listen to the things that happen to the freinds and think about it. 5/5 Pibb needs Rock: Funny skit about Pibb gettin a spa treatment in his body locker. -4/5 Mule Session: Could have been much, much better if the beat was consistant. Its just a like scratch record with some stuff that ryhmes with mule. Its very funny, dont get me wrogn but the acoustic guitar should have been played throughout. 4-.5/5 Newlyweds, Sleepyheads: Funny stuff. It's awesome. -5/5 Calling home: Its a mix of an old skit (cant remember what its called) and i guess a new character. Its pretty much a kid going to school on his own and his family calls him and his room mate.-5/5 Mr. I do and the doo doo's: A short song about getting hitched and it's perks. Its ok. 4/5 W**** where are you!!!!: This is about a guy loosing his wife in his house (like actually mis placing her) and then it turns out that she was just out of the house. Its just funny to me for a reason I don't know how to explain. 4/5 Stan the Man: To me, this song is a really good song. Not only is the music awesome but the lyrics are kinda sad becuase its about the loss of Adam's dad. Its kind of a funny goodbye song if that makes sense. By the way, if you heard this on Letterman its recorded live and got more verses. 5/5! best song.

This CD started out great. Sid & Alex was a laugh-out-loud riot. The rest of the CD, however, was just disappointing. Adam Sandler's comedy albums have steadily declined over the years. I still remember listening to They're All Gonna Laugh At You with my friends for the first time. We were literally unable to breathe we were rolling and laughing so hard, and for the next month or so I played that CD until I had the damn thing memorized. The second one wasn't as good but still very funny, with great characters like the Goat. On these last two comedy CDs it seems he's been trying to come up with new characters, which is always good, but the high-pitched old man voice (Whitey from Stan and Judy's Kid and Pibb from this one) is just irritating. And it just doesn't seem like the skits go anywhere.I give the CD two stars because some of the songs were clever. I did like the Eminem spoof (Mayor of Pussytown), but overall definitely not worth it. Skip it and pick up David Cross' new CD instead.

I don't know how anyone could resist Sandler's humorous and at times raunchy attitude. He is the funniest person alive! Ok, so he may not be able to sing. But who cares, he's not trying to be the next American Idol. He's just being himself. You rock Adam!
