5.0 out of 5 stars Great product (with matching shampoo)
I bought the shampoo and conditioner and have been very pleased with both. My hair gets less oily throughout the day and stays soft and shiny. As a bonus, it's SLS-free! I recommend this product.

3.0 out of 5 stars Terrible Shipping But Great Product
I have used these Shikai items for many years now. They are great and I thought I got a great price online, but I was really unhappy with the shipping. It came in a small box, one little, flat air pocket. They were in a plastic bag which is the only reason they didn't spill all over the box. All the lids were loose or cracked and leaked inside the bag. I was able to...

It came in a small box, one little, flat air pocket. They were in a plastic bag which is the only reason they didn't spill all over the box. All the lids were loose or cracked and leaked inside the bag. I was able to transfer the broken bottle to another empty one, and save most of them, but the bad shipping was a real pain! I will not order from this vendor again.

I thought this would be a good product but it contains diazolidinyl urea which releases formaldehyde, a caricinogenic impurity. I'm not comfortable with that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Maybe my favorite conditioner, May 31, 2011

I have to give this 5 stars because

1: I am not allergic to it. My scalp does not itch.

2: My semi-coarse, voluminous and frizzy curly hair is manageable. I am even considering using this as a leave in conditioner as I read about on tightlycurly.com (though my curls are actually medium-big loose curls with ringlets that sometimes appear scattered through out my hair.

3. This conditioner is not chemically scary, doesn't contain silicone and other things I avoid.

4. Pretty much scentless.

It would be nice to find a product like this that costs a bit less...but all the less inexpensive products seem to be full of chemicals that hate my hair type or my sensitive scalp...if anyone has found anything good, let me know and maybe I'll give it a try. :)

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, April 3, 2011

I've been using Giovanni shampoo and conditioner for a while now but decided to buy the Shikai Natural Everyday conditioner to see how it worked for me since it was on sale. I have thick, long, naturally frizzy/wavy hair that I blow dry straight. Usually I can feel conditioner working. My hair will feel smooth and detangled almost instantly in the shower and when it's dry, it will feel soft. It did not feel that way during/after using this Shikai conditioner. I can normally run a comb or brush through my hair easily when it's wet after using my normal stuff, but not with this conditioner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes my hair SOFT and SHINY!, April 2, 2011

I love this conditioner! I'm just now finishing bottles of the shampoo and conditioner, and I will continue to buy them.

I originally bought this conditioner because it has a "safe" ingredient list. I really wanted something that was SLS free, and ShiKai conditioner has a pretty clean ingredient list.

One of the nice things about this conditioner is that it contains amla, which is a fruit from Asia that is used to make hair healthy and shiny. Of course I have no idea how much amla the conditioner actually contains, but it does make my hair healthy and shiny, so that's great.

The conditioner feels really light; you let it sit a little and it washes right out, without leaving your hair greasy.

I highly recommend ShiKai conditioner (AND shampoo) to anyone with hair. It's good stuff.
