Grand Master DoAnn T. Kaneko SMSC is directed by DoAnn T. Kaneko, Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.), Doctor of Oriental Medicine (O.M.D), and Ph.D. in Oriental Medicine. Dr. Kaneko was born and raised in Japan. A graduate of: Saint Paul Rikkyo University (1970), Toyo Acupuncture College, (1979), and SAMRA University & Health Sciences, (1985), he is a second generation practitioner of his family's traditional healing art practice: Anma Massage (Meridian Anma) and acupuncture. His education, employment, qualifications, publications and recognitions are extensive in the fields of Acupressure, Shiatsu-Anma, Doin, acupuncture, moxibustion, Oriental exercises and Chinese herbs. He has practiced and taught the healing arts since 1970, both in Japan and in the USA at the Yoga Ananda Ashram and Shiatsu Dojo in NYC, Santa Barbara College of Acupuncture, Inoue Acupuncture Clinic and Ido Clinic in Tokyo, California Acupuncture College, and Tao Healing Arts Center in Santa Monica, CA. Kaneko-Sensei developed, introduced, and established Short Form, a contemporary Shiatsu treatment technique based on Dr. Serizawa's definition of Shiatsu and Long Form, an advanced three posture technique.
