This is probably one of the best soundtracks ou there.It's combination of rap/hip hop and Hard Rock/Heavy Metal fits the atmosphere of the tv show.If your are a fan of the music from the show or if your are a fan of the show I definitly recommend it.They sure took their time having it realesed.I can't wait for season 6.

The music was very dissapoiting. All rap and songs of violence. They play fantastic music on the show, but little of ot showed up on the CD.

All in all, a fine soundtrack if The Shield series is one of your things. However, on my cd copy, purchased by an independent seller through Amazon and fulfilled by Amazon in December 2010, track 3, Death March by Black Label Society, has been replaced by some non-BLS junk filler song. This probably violates a couple false advertising and copyright laws along the way, and it seems like I'm stuck with dealing with it for the time being. Caveat emptor, etc.

I got this particular cd in two days. I could not locate it anywhere else. Great Job!!

This "Compilation" from The Shield is way too late in being released. The fans of the series (including myself) have been yelling for merchandise to be released since season 1, season 5 starts in January 06 and they wait until may of 05 to release a soundtrack, lame.. The Shield probably has the best and most eclectic music of any show on television. I must say, the songs that were FINALLY picked for the compilation are weak. Far from the best music from the show. I am disgusted and will not be purchasing this. For the best music from the show troll the message boards and go to itunes and download your own. Kinto Sol and Tantric are the best groups from this compilation.

They didnt include all the best music that Vic and Shane listen to in their cars: Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, Jonny Lang, Blue Mountain, etc. Somewhat disappointing, was hoping to find out who some of those bands were that were playing in the backround of the car scenes.

If you like the gritty, dark and complex themes of the FX series "The Shield", then you'll love this record.

It's got memorable songs from classic Shield moments, and the incredible remix of the theme song by none other than the legendary X-ecutioners!

It's the perfect companion to the amazing show!

I've been a fan of the show for many years now and have always loved the sountrack played within. This CD is great for a heart pounding good time to listen to, gets you up and moving.

I love so much of the music from the show, but as was said in another review, there's so many great songs that aren't on the soundtrack. If anyone knows them by episode and name, could you please post them here? Specifically, from Episode 104 Dawg Days, (the heavy metal/rap song blasting from the crashed drive-by car that hit the litle kid {singer sounds like the rapper from Cypress Hill, the one that's not B-Real}) & also the songs from Episode 105 Blowback, (the heavy metal/rap song {sounds like the Cypress Hill guy again} the Strike Team's listening to in the barn while getting ready for the Armenian coke bust, and also the bluesy instrumental song at the end of the episode, when Vic's at Danni's Door.) I'm not sure if this helps and I'm sorry to post this here but I did find one song that a reviewer might be looking for "The Magnetic Fields - All My Little Words" when 'dutch' is at that widow's house and vic ends up at danni's
