If you've read The Chronicles of a Age of Darkness with delight then read this. Seriously weird but a damn good read. Find it - read it.

The style of Hugh Cook's "Chronicles of an Age of Darkness" is definately identifiable, but this book appears to have been written earlier and doesn't seem as polished.

The plot seems to wander a bit, and on occasion Mr. Cook resorts to a deus ex machina (i.e., what happened to Clive?). Also, maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not catching the point Mr. Cook is obviously trying to make with the biblical references.

Still, since the book is a good read for those who liked Mr. Cook's other books. As mentioned in the previous review, it's seriously weird - unlike any other sci-fi book I've read.
