Slippery footing,

Yes, this will protect your shoes from scuffs, BUT... the plastic covers on the underside, which protect the Shubandit straps from wear when walking around are very slippery. This is a little problem when walking around, but a much bigger problem when putting your left foot down on the pavement at a traffic light, or even worse when stopped on a hill. If I keep using this product, I will cut those off and just accept more rapid wear.

I'm going to save a lot of you some money. Instead of getting this scuff protector, just get some 1" wide velcro and some gorilla glue. Cut 2 3-4" strips of the velcro (the fuzzy side) and place it on the bottom and front of your shifter. After you're sure it covers everywhere your boot/shoe would touch, use the gorilla glue to put it in place. Let it dry for 3-4 hours and you're good. No more scuff marks on your footgear. No hassle putting something on and storing it. And you can wash it with your bike. I've had the velcro on mine for 6 months now with no problems. You can't even see it unless you get right up to it. Even then, it doesn't look bad.

I bought these for my husband who was wearing holes in his shoes from shifting. This saved his shoes. I will forever be grateful to the designers!

Although the Shoe boot cover keep your shoe clean, it's very slipper when you stop and put your foot down. You have to be very careful

I kind of like this product, but at the same time I don't, so let me explain. The product should protect your shoe (tennis, casual shoe or whatever you are wearing) from marks and scratches, a typical problem with motorcycles when shifting. If we judge the product based on that only, it works well. The only constructive feedback that I have on that matter is that depending of your size, it tends to go up (or close to your body) so it is not on the right place all the time. I'm size 9 on shoes and my bike is a sport-bike. When I wear this shoe protector feels like is always moving up and up and not totally covering the middle front of my shoe/feet. But I don't see scratches on my shoe, so still I guess is protecting some way. The bottom is plastic. Yes, it is a little slippery but not too bad in my opinion. However, if it's raining, is going to rain or, rained the day before, I would not wear it but my regular boots instead; actually, that's what all riders should wear after all, but ... This product should be better if they can replace the bottom for something with more traction. I would also make it two sizes instead of one size all so it will fit better for different shoe sizes. But again, this is not a big issue though. On my case, I remove it once I parked my bike and use the point of my left shoe when I stop the bike, like on traffic lights. Not the safest or MSF way, I admit. If you always wear casual shoes or tennis while riding, get this one. But be aware of those two main issues. As always, it is better and more secure wear boots instead, not "cool" or so comfortable, but it will protect your feet way much better.

Size Matters,

Delivered on time and as promised. The fit was perfect for my shoes but too tight for my boots (size 12). I emailed the manufacturer and they sent me a larger size. That made a huge difference, especially since I main wear boots when riding. The rubber straps underneath the shoes takes some getting use to. I suggest adjusting them just in front and behind the grip of your shoes/boots to prevent any slipping. Otherwise, it works pretty well and I would recommend it.

Like several others, my biggest issue with this product is that the two plastic bottom pieces are ridiculously slippery. You have no traction at all with the front half of your foot (I nearly fell just walking). I did multiple laps around a parking lot attempting to scrape them up for better traction, in addition to dragging my foot back and forth when sitting at lights- so far, no real difference, though I figure eventually it will help. I would suggest scuffing them up at least a little before wearing them for the first time. Or just cutting them off altogether and leaving the elastic uncovered. The elastic will wear faster, but if you don't intend to walk heavily in them, or remove them when you do get off the bike, then it should last plenty long.
The whole thing is a little bulky overall, and yet it also seems to barely fit larger sized boots. I wear a size 11 in women's and it's a stretch to get it over the back of my boot. It does protect your shoe from gear-shift wear, however, as advertised. EDIT: The plastic strips on the bottom have now been thoroughly scuffed, they're better than at first, but they will always be too slippery in my opinion. Avoid hills and inclines, and also just using the front of your foot for any sort of hold. Also avoid rain or any wet surfaces like the plague.

Bought this so i wouldnt ruin my dress shoes when commuting to work. I was hesitant at first because of the reviews saying it was slippery and not effective, but im glad i bought it. I agree that the bottom plastic is a little slippery but a simple solution to this is to drag your left foot on the pavement and let the plastic get scratched up a little. Im talking from a red light about 100 feet. do this 3 or 4 times and problem solved!
this also slips on and off quickly so its a breeze to put on and take off. it straps in the back so it will not fall off while riding and its adjustable for different shoes. Ive had this for 6 weeks and wear it every day on my commute to work and it has not let me down yet.

Against the wishes of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation, I, like others, ride to work with tennis shoes in the summer. This keeps the black marks off of the shoes, and is simple to slip on and off, easily stores in thee trunk, or your bag
