4.0 out of 5 stars Great for what it is
I really enjoyed this anthology. I was not disappointed because this book was exactly what I expected - erotic romance. The two stories feature hot M/M sex, with a paranormal element. There is plot, just not to the degree you find in traditional M/M romances, or other M/M genres.

1.0 out of 5 stars Plot? What plot?
I like steamy sexs scenes as much as the next girl but I also like...I dunno...plot and character developement? This book was a big let down for me. The whole idea of the book intrigued me and I thought I was in for a really good book, but I find I was really let down by the odd writing style, and the near none existent plot and character development. I really enjoyed this anthology. I was not disappointed because this book was exactly what I expected - erotic romance. The two stories feature hot M/M sex, with a paranormal element. There is plot, just not to the degree you find in traditional M/M romances, or other M/M genres.

In Outcast, Anneal is expelled by his people for being homosexual. He takes shelter from a snow storn in a cave, only to discover it is the den of Ferris, a very special mountain lion. In The Beast Within, Lee and Rex find their position in the pride threatened by their love.

Yes, hot sex is the focus here, which is the case with many Torquere Press titles. "One Fire" and its sequel was pretty much hot sex between a fireman and his much younger lover, without much plot either, but still excellent reading. So, if you enjoy erotic romance, you won't regret the Shifting anthologies.

This book reads more like a daily account of a nyphomaniacs life.

The characters are sweet and interesting with how they play off each other but beyond that there really is nothing to this book at all. They have sex, get something to eat, then have some more sex.

I highly recommend you DONT GET THIS BOOK.

Go get The Backpassage instead if you want a good M/M book, it's not lacking in sex scenes but theres actually more meat to that book then this book could even try for.
