I really liked the way this book was written and put together. It did indeeed cover thing specific to Shih Tzus and was not a generic dog book. The DVD was a really nice bonus. I would recommend this book to anyone thinking about buying a Shih Tzu, or people like myself and wife who have had them for over 12 years. We currently have 3, and this book just reignites your passion for these fun little dogs.

We recently got a Shih Tzu puppy and wanted to learn all we could about the breed. This book is great. I had bought another book also, but this one is the most informative. It also came with a training video which is very helpful.

I found all the necessary information I was seeking in this book.
I will raise my puppy excellent with the support of this book.

I bought this book over Shih Tzu for dummies because this book has color pictures and is a little lighter reading than the dummies book. I had a hard time concentrating on the black and white/no picture dummies book

I'm planning to get one of these precious little dogs next summer, but I've already begun my research by reading books about the breed. I've not read all that I plan to yet, but so far this book is the best I've read. The chapters on grooming, training and behavior were especially relevant and informative for a new shih tzu owner, as these are the topics I feel are of critical importance. I'm sure I will refer to this book again and again in the future. If you can only get one book on the shih tzu, this is the one you should buy!

The Shih Tzu (Terra Nova Series) EXCELLENT BOOK WRITTEN BY A PERSON WHO LOVES DOGS AND SHIH TZU's IN PARTICULAR. HAS A LOT OF GOOD AND USEFUL INFORMATION.

I compared this book and "Shih Tzu for Dummies" thinking this book looks like an earlier publishing and it was printed and packaged in China, but still purchased this for the DVD I guess... So far I haven't read it yet but my husband did and he said the book is very informative and we like the fact that it's all about Shih Tzu!!

I own 5 Shih Tzu books and this is my favorite! It has the most useful info and the best step by step details of any book. It's my first go-to when I have a question. Every Shih Tzu owner needs to own this!

Just bought it for my wife along with other title about Shih Tzu breed. This is the best and she likes it very much. It's well written and cover all aspects needed Shih Tzu owners. It has lost of beautiful pictures (prob more than 100 pics) of the breeds that match the subject. ie. on Grooming, etc. Highly recommnded book.

It has helped me to understand my cute dog. The book is very easy to read and comprehend almost everything about this type of dogs. I also loved the pictures and some funny stuff about them. You will enjoy it!!
