Brilliant hard-edged rock,
By A Customer
This review is from: Shihad (Audio CD)
Shihad are the masters of riff-driven rock. This album isn't their best (check out their second album 'Killjoy'), but still shows off their superb skill at combining monster riffs with great melodies. Tom Larkin's drumming is always a joy to listen to, and the rest of the band continue to evolve their sounds into new areas. Great!

Shihad WILL rule the world!,
By Duncan Cole (New Zealand) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Shihad (Audio CD)
Shihad are easily the best NZ band, hell the're even in the running for best band in the world! This album is not their best but definately their most accessible. "Home Again" should be the NZ national anthem and I know if it somehow got heavy rotation in the U.S. it would break this band. Other choice cuts are the uplifting "A Day Away", strangely depressing "Y'r Head is A Rock"(I don't even know what this song is about), the fast punk rock of "LaLa land" and many more. Buy it! Now!

It doesnt get much better,
By "the_hockey_psycho" (New Zealand/USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Shihad (Audio CD)
I was fortunate enough to have been able to see Shihad a few times live and was an instant fan. Now that Im living back in the States Im in withdrawl. I cant wait for them to the States in '03. But this album is solid. It is a must have for any CD collection. I predict once Pacifiers (the bands new name) new album hits the US all back catalog sales will also take off in the States.
