Shiloh 2: Shiloh Season,
By A Customer
This review is from: Shiloh 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Shiloh 2 was an excellent movie! It is the sequel to the first one. Duh! It is about Marty and his dog, and the abusive owner who turns sentimental when he gets letters from Marty after an accident. He learns to love, even when he never received love as a child! I definately recommend it. I almost cried it was so good at the end. And the dog hit my soft spot.

Very Good Movie,
This review is from: Shiloh 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
If like a good movie, if like watching something with a plot, if you liked the first Shiloh, then this movie is a must-see. I just watched this movie the other day after renting it and this is literally the best movie I've seen all year. I don't care what age you are, you will definately enjoy this movie. I do recommend watching the first Shiloh though, because that way you'll understand the sequel a lot better. This is an excellent movie, a great ending, great actors/actresses, and is something worth seeing on a good night.

Good family movie,

This review is from: Shiloh 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
My 5 year old daughter loves this movie and it's nice to finally see a movie where right is right and wrong is wrong. Marty learns about injustice and how to live with being wrongly accused. He also learns how to forgive and show compassion. This is a very good family movie that can spark some interesting discussion about morals and values.

Boy and his dog,

This is easily one of the best films I have seen. MichaelMoriarty does well playing Marty's father. And replacing Blake Heronwith Zachary Browne was a wise casting move. (Zach is a much better actor.) If you're looking for a movie with positive family values and a good ending, then this is the one. I guess I'm just a softie when it comes to "boy and his dog" films.

We watched the movie as a family. I thought it was great. It showed how to give people a second chance and also how to be a good neighbor.

I was pleasantly shocked the moment I discovered there was actually a sequel to Shiloh, the lovable beagle puppy that I'm willing to met we ALL fell in love with. If he's not the prettiest beagle I've ever seen, you'd have to go out of your way to find me a prettier one, haha.Shiloh 2- Shiloh Season contains the same setting as the first one. You have a family living out in the country in an extremely small town with a neighbor who's less than friendly to say the least. I *think* these are the same exact characters making a return. Update- I was wrong. The boy playing the young teenager is NOT the same boy from the first Shiloh. I think everyone else is the same, though. Basically everyone has grown up a few years since the first movie (most noticeable in the kids of course) but unfortunately what may have seemed like a happy ending in the first one, we discover that the neighbor is once again up to his no good tricks and causes more problems and annoyances for the neighbors. The emphasis on Shiloh 2 is not necessarily on the neighbor wanting his beagle back (even though there's a few scenes where he searches for the beagle and the dog *almost* gets taken back, leading viewers into thinking the neighbor is trying to steal Shiloh while the family is asleep). Not quite anything like that, but without spoiling what eventually happens, the storyline focuses around trying to make the neighbor less grouchy and more generous. It's quite the daunting task! Attempting to change a man too old and stubborn to be a better person. Easier said than done. Even the father says it best "You can't teach an old dog new tricks!" Overall, I can't help but notice the storyline and atmosphere is tamer and more relaxed than the first Shiloh film. I'm not necessarily referring to the Shiloh beagle himself- the entire movie just lacks any particularly memorable segments. However, the reason I don't care is because I absolutely love the innocent Little House on the Prairie-like atmosphere. We need more movies like these, and I really don't think this should be categorized under childrens movies because I'm a 30-year old man and I honestly didn't feel out of place watching Shiloh 2 last night. I highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful movie to show children how to understand others. To show love to another person eventhough they dont love you back. This movie hit home to me because the dad in this movie was so calm and patient just like the wonderful father I was blessed with. Great movie.
