5.0 out of 5 stars SPELLBINDING, SOUL-ENRICHING!
This book should come with a WARNING label! I couldn't put it down! The authors ability to write a spellbinding and thought-provoking plotline with interesting characters whom you come to care about, is unparalleled. As a woman who doesn't often pick up science fiction novels, I found The Shiloh Project enjoyable, fascinating and soul-enriching. Something I can't say...

3.0 out of 5 stars Eminently readable, but flawed.
Beaucage's first book displays a definite talent for writing page-turning prose, but it could use a bit more discipline. Sometimes, the characters do things, not because that would be in character for them to do, but because the plot demands it. There are also logical inconsistencies in some places. Also, the historical characters tend to act and speak more like modern...

5.0 out of 5 stars SPELLBINDING, SOUL-ENRICHING!, July 28, 1997

This book should come with a WARNING label! I couldn't put it down! The authors ability to write a spellbinding and thought-provoking plotline with interesting characters whom you come to care about, is unparalleled. As a woman who doesn't often pick up science fiction novels, I found The Shiloh Project enjoyable, fascinating and soul-enriching. Something I can't say about much of todays literature. It is obvious to the reader that David Beaucage put a lot of research and thought into his book. As a man of science, mathematics and God, Mr. Beaucage has written a fun, Bible-based, time travel book, chock full of romance, computers and formulas that, if you're not careful, could change your life forever! He's written about faith without being preachy, love without being mushy, and math without being DULL. Trust me, you'll love this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Faith and Science Together At Last!, June 27, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Shiloh Project (Paperback)
Finally a man of science and learning has written a novel which creatively weaves faith and a plausibly extrapolated science (the best science fiction) into a story of romance and adventure. The level of vocabulary and the brief use of science and math challenge the reader without intimidating. I found myself totally convinced of the possibility of time travel. As with all romances, the ability of love to overcome obstacles is once again a major key to the plot. All hopeless romantics and adventure addicts will want to read this

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost unique, and a great read, February 17, 2000
This review is from: The Shiloh Project (Paperback)
Although I am an atheist and "The Shiloh Project" is intended as Christian propaganda, I loved it. It is very well written, with wit and charm, and it is a good story -- though I must admit to having skipped over the mathematical formulae. To my fellow non-believers, I say, "Give this a look; it can't hurt and it is fun." To believers, I say, "You'll find this inspiring as well as fun." I'm looking forward to David Beaucage's sequel. Beaucage's work is, to steal a line from another reviewer, where science and faith meet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Entertaining Science Fiction Romantic Comedy, June 3, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: The Shiloh Project (Paperback)
This story of a modern man and woman who are swept back thousands of years in time is a thoughtful and thought provoking tale.
More importantly, it is entertaining, with many twists and turns and a quirky sense of humor.
The characters are well drawn -- you feel like you know them -- and they learn through adventures both exciting and original.
If you like realistic science fiction that knows how to have fun, then give "The Shiloh Project" a try

Sometimes, the characters do things, not because that would be in character for them to do, but because the plot demands it. There are also logical inconsistencies in some places. Also, the historical characters tend to act and speak more like modern Americans than ancient Babylonians, Persians, or Jews. Still, an entertaining and engrossing read. I eagerly await the author's second work.
