Most comfortable pedal while riding. I have used most all of the styles of pedals available and these are the most comfortable. Speedplays are way easier to clip in and out of, but my feet never cramp with these 105 pedals. They are same as ultegra but barely heavier so don't waste your time on ultegras, the dur-ace have an extra bearing and are smoother but crazy expensive. Hope this helps

Obviously the quality is top notch - that's SHIMANO. If you ride MTB you will notice that you will have a harder time clipping into these compared to your MTB clipless. That's due to only one availabe "face" versus both sides on an MTB clipless. Also, they are not evenly balanced like the MTB clipless so when not in use the rear (black plastic part) "hangs" down which, again, makes it harder to get a smooth clip-in. I ride downtown Boston so it was tough at first to get a smooth take off from a red light. It just takes time to get used to. Or you can track strand if you got the skills. If you ride in the city and you must have clipless you may want to get a pair of MTB pedals for the ease of ingress / egress.

These pedals work really well. I had never ridden with clipless pedals, but after installing these, found them very easy to learn on (I had to practice a bit though). Once you get the hang of it, it is simple to clip in and out. On power, my feet feel very secure and on high cadence, the float helps reduce any knee strain. Also they feel very smooth and the bearings and materials seem to be of good quality.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great beginner clips..!, October 27, 2010

Great beginner pedals..! If you never have used clipless pedals before these would be a good one to start with. I've been riding with to "toe clips" for some time wanted to move up to bike shoes and clipless pedals for my longer rides. . These are easy to adjust the tension on and easy to unclip with outward twist of the foot. My best advice too anyone is to start riding with one shoe first (for me that was my left foot since I am right hand) and get use to clipping in and out quickly, and then when your comfortable put the other shoe on.. Remember to unclip before those stops! I would recommend these to a friend..

I've had these for a few years. The float is adequate to prevent knee inflamation, which I am very prone to get. They obviously aren't the lightest offering available, but they don't have a weight restriction for heavy riders, they have a wide platform, they're easy to click in and out of, and they use the same cleat as the Ultegra and Dura-Ace pedals. I have not thought about these pedals since the day I put them on, which is pretty much all you can ask for. Recommended for riders that enjoy serious training rides, but have no aspirations of racing. Would also go good on a dedicated training rig.

I am relatively new to road biking and after reading reviews from previous customers, I bought this pedals. It has been great to clip in and out and it looks sleek. Keep the tension lowest to avoid a fall.

Your not going to get more pedal at this price point. Easy-in, easy-out (tension is easily adjustable if they feel too stiff or too loose) and pretty light. My only gripe is I had difficulty mounting the cleats, but that was more a problem with the shoes than the cleats themselves. It would be nice if they came with a few different length screws...Otherwise, a great pedal!
