First off I ordered this freewheel after I discovered a faulty freewheel on my new schwinn solution which I ordered here on amazon. I quickly learned that it was indeed a freewheel I needed not a cassette. A freewheel is a one piece gear cassette and freehub body in one piece. A freewheel screws directly on to your wheel in one piece rather than having a freehub body mounted on it and then a cassette mounted over the freehub body. I just thought I would include this information for someone who may not yet know the difference between a freewheel and a freehub body and cassette. This freewheel uses the Park FR-1 Freewheel and cassette removal tool. You will not need a chain whip to remove a freewheel but a corresponding freewheel cassette tool to remove. You need nothing to install it as it tightens with the pedaling of your bike. I would advise tightening it up a bit with the Park FR-1 tool though.
As far as Performance this freewheel is great! It is very smooth and solid. Very direct feel. I would recommend this freewheel to anybody who needs one!

Shimano makes good parts. Too bad they won't bring back the 11t-34t megarange. What a monster !
Can't go wrong with one of these. Good fit, finish, function, no complaints here.

I purchased this freewheel to replace a "Megarange" 14-34 freewheel. I like the gear range on this freewheel better than the 14-34 I had before. Removing the old freewheel was easy with the proper Park tool.

I did one stupid thing to the bike: sprayed WD-40 on the freewheel. That caused my bike freewheel no longer working. Even after taking the freewheel off from bike and using other solution to clean it, it still does not work.
The only way to fix it is to replace it. This freewheel replace the Schwinn 26" bike freewheel without any problem. Working great.

It works just as it's supposed to. No problems installing and no problems with it functioning. The chrome sprockets even give it a little flash.

I bought this freewheel to replace the worn Shimano 14-28 tooth freewheel on my Dahon but I will be getting another one to replace the no name (or is it Falcon?) freewheel on a Walmart Schwinn. The 13 tooth high gear cog also gives a few more gear inches (higher top speed) than the usual stock 14 tooth. I have read reviews of big box store Schwinn and Mongoose bicycles that came equipped stock with unidentifiable freewheels (like mine) and there were complaints of them failing. I have over a thousand miles on my Schwinn and I don't want to have my no-name freewheel self destruct far from home so this Shimano will replace it. I have never heard of a Shimano freewheel failing other than normal wear and tear but I frequently read about cheap stock freewheels having a cog or two detach itself. Fifteen dollars is cheap insurance against that problem and the shifting is crisp and precise on my Dahon despite its low end Shimano rear derailleur.

This freewheel was to replace the one that came on my walmart bought schwinn 26" aluminum comp bike. The shifting is smoother with this one since my bike came with shimano shifters, but non-shimano freewheel. It runs much quieter too, so I am very happy about the purchase. Tried to install it myself, but turned out I had the wrong size freewheel remover, so I took it to the bike shop. I've heard they're not too difficult to install though with the right tools.

this freewheel came well packaged (original factory package) and ready to go. I've put a few miles on the bike since installation and found that shifting is smooth and quiet. Overall, it does what I expected.
These items are getting harder to find, but this vendor did a nice job and delivered it quickly.

It is good for the price. The only thing I don't like is the largest cog is black and the rest are chrome.
