While replacing a frame from a previous bike with previous components I found I needed longer reach brake calipers. For the price you get all the function of an Ultegra without the cost. It comes with replaceable brake pad shoes. So no worries. Set it and forget it.

Has sunken nut, needed standard nut,

The BR-650 comes in two types. I ordered a pair and they come with the sunken nut which requires a 7.8 mm hole. My bike which is Cannondales first model, a ST500 from 1983 requires the standard nut. I am afraid to drill the frame with the larger holes. The standard nuts are available, but hard to find especially since no one lists this in the descriptions.
They are great looking brakes for old long reach bikes. |
