I purchased this brake to replace the infamous Shimano CT90M. This brake uses the same link wire as the CT90M and is nearly an exact replacement. However, it uses the same plastic spring housing as the CT90M (which is why I had to replace the CT90M), had I known this I would have purchased another cantilever brake. However, the CT91M is working well, for now.

I bought these brakes as a replacement for a worn out set on an older Trek bike. They were easy to install, fit perfectly, don't squeak when adjusted correctly, and, most importantly, STOP the bike. Took me a little while to adjust them, but I'm not a bike mechanic, so I'm sure it was just me.
