They fit as expected and the lace-holding strap keeps my laces out of the drivetrain.

These are the first pair of clip-in shoes I've owned.I have gone on a couple rides now and these shoe/new pedals make it so much easier to ride it feels like they unlocked power I didnt know I had. They also breathe really well I went out on a 80 degree day and my feet did not sweat at all.Overall I like the shoes and would buy again. One other thing I really like how these shoes look just like any other shoe not like the crazy road bike shoes I looked at and these are easy to walk around in but obviously I wouldn't recommend walking around alot in these seeing as they are for bike riding.

My bike has clipless pedals and the only shoes I could use with them were very obviously biking shoes. That was fine for serious riding, but when I wanted to just go for a ride around the neighborhood I found myself looking ridiculous because of the aggressive styling of most cycling shoes.

These shoes are perfect for casual riding of my not so casual bike. They perform just as good as any other cycling shoes, but look and feel more like regular sneakers.

My only complaint about these is that the cleat should be a little more recessed. As they are now, the cleats hit the ground slightly, making a distinctive and loud sound. On my more aggressive cycling shoes that doesn't bother me, but if the intent behind these is to work as regular, street shoes, they should have made it so the cleat doesn't clang on the ground.

The other minor issue, is the shoelace retention strap isn't tight enough to hold the laces well.

Even with these two small issues, I give these shoes 5 stars. For what I needed them for, they are perfect. Cycling shoe functionality in styling that can pass as casual shoes.

Hi, I noticed a comment elsewhere that they are sized small. I would say 1-2 Euro sizes too small. I generally wear a 40 and a 41 for Lowa hiking boots that has room for heavy socks. Shimano 41 barely got on my foot. I wouldn't buy without trying on. Also and this is a hit to Amazon that has bearing in the purchase here. You may notice "free returns" Fulfilled by Amazon up top but beware. Amazon is of little help in this matter. In the past with Amazon purchases that were clearly a manufactuers defect (I consider ultra small sizing a defect) Amazon would send out the correct product right away and give you 30 days to return the defect or charge your card. Since this is a 3rd party Amazon refused to offer this so I could get the right shoes asap. Some will say the review should be only about the shoes but since you may have issues with sizing the rcustomer service plays a huge role in purchase here. Of course if you are just looking for a review of the shoe...

Shoes are fine, a 4 star. Seem sturdy and well made. I will attempt to comment on long term use in the future but for the first ride they were fine. My Speedplay Frog cleats had trouble installing though. The arc of the sole is just too small of a radius. If youa re going to install Speedplay Frogs on the smaller sizes of these shoes, 41 and 42 for sure and I imagine even bigger will need a "cantlever latch shim" from Speedplay, they will mail it free. You can also make shift a shim with some dense sticky stuff like Gorilla tape strategically placed on the shoes. I did this and am riding.

To recap, The shoes are a 4 star
    Sizing is a 1 star
    Amazon is a 3 star

These shoes are great! They perform well for long rides but they are best suited for commuting since they weigh more than high-performance cycling shoes. Sizes do run small however, so order one size larger than your normal size. I highly recommend them! I commute 9 miles each way and they have worked out very well for me.

If you're a bike commuter looking for a shoe you can ride in and wear around a casual office, this is a great shoe. I've got a 30 mile round trip commute in the Boston area and I've been very impressed with this shoe. I've used it for about 360 miles of winter riding so far and they are very solid. As a pedal platform, they are fairly stiff.

I've used them comfortably down to 13F coupled with thick socks, chemical warmers, and Planet Bike toe covers. The shoes are well-ventilated via mesh uppers, so they are not water proof or water resistant. Without the covers I don't think they would very comfortable much below 50F. I bought size 45 so I would have room in the shoe for the thicker socks and warmers. I normally wear size 43.

My coworkers, used to my more standard bike shoes (Diadora MTB shoes) were surprised that these were bike shoes. Several asked if I had retrofitted regular shoes. They are comfortable enough to walk around in and the cleats (yes, you have buy them separately) are recessed enough that you don't sound like you're wearing tap shoes.

I'm very happy with the SH-MT33L shoes. I would buy them again and recommend them to a friend without hesitation.

These were my first pair of cycling shoes and my experience with them has been generally good. Until I used them, though, I never would have thought that a very tight fit is essential to get the benefit of the lift in a cycling shoe. I followed the advice of another reviewer on Amazon and erred on the high side in choosing a size. The shoes are made like a hiking shoe, so when you lift up, you stretch the shoe. You have to stretch a bit until the shoe starts pulling. The result is lost energy. I'm sure the cycling geeks are all over this idea, but since I'm new to it--despite having commuted on a bike for eight years using running shoes--it was a surprise to me. I would still buy these shoes again; it's just something newbies like me should know.
