first clipless shoes - great so far, August 20, 2009
this is my first pair of clipless shoes. i bought a used road bike with egg beater pedals so i needed spd shoes even though this is not the most common type for road bikes anymore from what i can tell. i wanted shoes that i could walk around in a bit if i stopped at a park or something. the true road shoes don't have a heel & i didn't want to do the duck walk routine. i can walk normally for short distances & the cleats don't touch on flat surfaces. these are very comfortable & the construction seems solid. i've only had them for a few months, so i can't really speak to the durability but i expect it to be good. i consistently wear a size 13 in street shoes & i need every bit of the size 48 with these. when i looked up sizing charts, there was a lot of variance from source to source. if you're looking at this particular shoe - size 13 US is definitely a 48
