Simple, effective braking,

I installed this on a three-speed Shimano hub, making it the third bike in my stable with a roller brake. These brakes aren't as effective as a properly-adjusted V-brake or cantilever, but they work much better in inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) and require almost no adjustment or maintenance. A great option for a commuter or even a touring bike. One complaint: It does not come with the clamp required to secure the braking arm to the chainstay so you will have to find a short piece of strap iron at the hardware store to create this bracket. The brake won't work without it and will instead just end up turning with your wheel and destroying your brake cable and possibly more. Don't use this brake without that arm securely fastened to the chainstay!
